chapter 20-For the rest of our lives

[A month later]

Carmen's pov☆

I've finally graduated college with honors and moved in with the others.

Jade says that we're going out tonight and to dress nice,she hasn't said where we're going and to not ask questions.

She even cooked lunch today,With my help of course, adding seasoning when she wasn't looking.

Suki and Mai were on babysitting duty while the boys were out.

Jade left the house for about three hours before telling me to get ready.

I shrugged it off and went upstairs to get dressed.

I slipped on a black button down and some black slacks to match,And my loafers a few chains and rings and put my hair up.

I went down stairs and Mai told me Jade was outside waiting.

When I stepped outside I stared for a bit taking in everything.

Jade standing by the car,Her jet black hair slicked back,Red button down and black slacks,Paired with white loafers and a huge bouquet of Roses and a Louis vitton bag sitting on the hood of the car.

I blushed at the sight,I walked over to her and she smiled at me.

"You look so pretty baby." she smiles at me warmly,From afar her resting face looks deadly but once she smiles it all disappears .

"You look handsome darling." I swoon as I kiss her cheek.

I watch as her ears turn a light shade of pink.

"I- um,uh...These are for you." she stutters as she hands me the roses and gift bag while looking away shyly.

"Thank you baby,You're still a big softie aren't you?" I tease her and she just opens the car door for me and I get in.

"Put your seat belt on." Jade says before getting in the car and revving the engine.

She starts to drive off while I look in the Louis bag.

"Jade you didn't splurge on this for me,tell me you didn't." I say looking at her.

"Don't worry about it babe,tonight is all about you." Jade assures me and I sigh.

I stare at the necklace,It was gold with jade written in cursive as the pendant.

I slip it on and look down at it.

I smile at it,I love Jade even when she does dumb shit,like spending too much money on stuff for me.

Jade soon pulls up to a Hotel near the beach.

She valets the car and we walk into the hotel and I take in everything,It was big and shiny I wasn't used to stuff like this.

Jade puts a card on the table and the man at the desk nods and leads us to the elevator.

We go to what seems to be the top floor and Jade tells me to cover my eyes.

I cover my eyes and we walk until she tells me to stop.

"And open your eyes." jade says and open my eyes and see a picnic surrounded by candles with rose petals and a picnic basket.

"Suprise." Jade says and I start to laugh.

"Why are you laughing?"  Jade chuckles.

"Because I don't know what to say this is so cute Jade,you know I like when you suprise me." I laugh as I sit down with her.

"I got your favorite sake,I don't know why you don't like the taste of red wine but I know you like sake so I got suki to get me some." Jade explains as she takes a bottle of sake out of the basket.

She pours me a shot of sake then corks a bottle of red merlot and chugs half of it.

"Pace yourself darling." I say taking the bottle from her.

She lays back and looks up at the stars.

"Blow out the candles." she says with a smile.

I nod and one by one I blow put the candles and look up.

The nightsky was full of stars. It was beautiful.

"Woah." I say in awe of the display above me.

Jade gets up and holds my hand and we walk to the middle of the roof which is surrounded by rose petals shaped into a star.

"Carmen Estrella Rodriguez,I've know you for what two years now? and I have to say they have been the two best years of my life,I'm looking forward to all the other years we spend together...But I wanted us to go into the next chapter of our lives Married,I want to be your wife Carmen,So what I'm trying to say is Will you marry me?" Jade confesses as she holds out a ring to me.

"Of course I'll marry you jade. "I smile as she slips the white band onto my ring finger along with the promise ring.

She pulled me by my waist and kissed me.

This wasn't just any kiss,This was THE kiss,electric Shockwave went through my body,I felt my heart beat slow down a bit.

I knew I was home,Just them a shooting star passed by us.

I was on cloud 9,When we finally pulled away I stared into her eyes.

"I love you." she Whispers as she hugs me.

"I love you too." I whisper back.

we stay like this for a bit before finishing the alcohol and then going home.

Jade passed out from the alcohol as soon as she hit the bed.

So I had to some how get pj's on a 6'0,144 pound woman who goes stiff as a board when asleep.

I groaned with frustration and had to give it my all to get her undressed and put A t-shirt and boxers on her.

By the time I finished I only had the strength to flop on the bed with her.

"I Lwove ywou." Jade slurs as she wraps her arms around me.

"Get off me you reek of booze." I say pushing her off me.

"I wanna cudwle." She slurs again with a big pout,her eyes still closed.

I take a deep breath and get up,I change into comfy clothes and socks and Climb into bed with jade.

She wraps her hands around me and buries her face into my neck.

I feel her hand slither up my shirt and I jump slightly.

"I'm not doing anything you're just warm under here." she says in a raspy tired voice.

I run my fingers through her hair and turn off the lamp.

"Good night ya big baby." I chuckle before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.
