Chapter 2 - Protection Leads to Nosebleeds

A bright light woke the knight from his slumber and blinded him. He looked around, seeing that Lucy was peacefully drifting in his arms. A light breeze was carried from the shattered window and into the room. It sent a chill down Lucy's spine making her eyes flutter open.

Erza: Good morning, sleep well?

Lucy: Mmhh hmuhm

Erza: Do you feel like going to the guild today?

Lucy: Yes, I'm fine

Erza smiled glad that the girl didn't turn into a nervous wreck.

Lucy: By the way, you're paying for the window

Erza's jaw dropped.

Erza: What?

Lucy: Next time don't break my window

Erza: There won't be a next time

Lucy: Good

Lucy stood up and started to dress. Erza sat silently and watched. She took a quick glance at Erza.

Lucy: Pervert

Erza then looked away embarrassed Lucy finished and pulled Erza to the guild.

Men's eyes showed fear while only two showed lust.

Gray's eyes were frozen with want and Natsu's were spitting fire with desire. Erza both gave them a stern dark death glare as they passed. Lucy pushed herself closer to Erza as she saw the horrific expression on Juvia Locksers face. She felt a warmth in her hand, Erza squeezed it lightly and Lucy looked up thankful she had a knight in shining armour.

Erza: Don't worry as long as I'm here I will never let anybody touch you like that again.

Lucy: Erza...

Lucy gave a soft smile and ran over to Mirajane.

Mirajane: Lucy glad to see you

Mirajane gave a smirk as she saw Erza make his way over to Lucy.

Mirajane: Is there any reason why your boyfriend is following you

Lucy spat water she was drinking all over the counter.

Lucy: WHAT! Me and Erza aren't a couple

Lucy stuttered and Mirajane pouted.

Mirajane: But you'd be so cute together

What Lucy didn't notice was that Gray had sat down next to her and his hand started to travel towards her thigh. Erza, having a sharp eye, saw it coming. Gray's hand was so close to touching Lucy. Luckily, Erza swooped in and caught his hand before he laid a finger on her. Gray growled at Erza. He then swiftly punched Erza in the face. Most of the guild was looking at them.

Lucy: 'Why did he take it? He could've easily dodged it'

Gray grinned evilly, glad that Erza was taking the pain. For a brief moment Lucy could see the fiery anger and pain in Erza's face but she could also see that protective look and a guilty expression. Lucy secretly smiled a little knowing that Erza really cared about her but he didn't have to blame himself. Gray punched Erza again, this time leaving a mark which would likely bruise but knowing Erza it would only be a light bruise. Erza gave the hardest death glare he had ever given to anybody and Gray instantly cowered. He ran out the guild scared out of his clothes... literally. (XD Gray lost his clothes again... not like he needs them anyway XD)

Erza sat down and rested his head on his head while he thought. Unexpectedly, blood began trickling down his nose and stained his shirt. Mirajane stifled a laugh and instead smirked.

Mirajane: Have you been thinking dirty things about Lucy again?

Erza noticed his nose bleed and immediately stood from his bar stool with a vibrant blush.

Erza: I was not! It must of been from the impact! and what do you mean again?

Mirajane: oh you wouldn't remember... after all you did faint from the blood loss

Lucy just giggled as Erza made excuses and Mirajane telling him otherwise.

Lucy: 'at least I have a boy blushing and having nose bleeds over me'
