Lennix goes to her closet, quickly pulling out a suitcase and a backpack. Setting the suitcase on the bed, she puts a week's worth of clothes into it.

She pries up a floorboard, grabbing all the snacks she had hidden in it, as well as the $1,000+ she had worked hard for over break. She quickly filled up the backpack with all of those things. She also grabs some water out of her fridge, putting that into the backpack as well.

Soon enough, Lennix is opening her window, and sliding everything out as quietly as possible as not to attract her father or mother's attention.

Once everything is out the window, Lennix quickly slides out. She grabs her stuff, getting it all into a good position, and takes off running. After around seven minutes of running, plus having to stop in order to fix the suitcase, she starts to slow down, into a speed walk.

''This wasn't really a good idea, to bring a suitcase I mean.'' she thinks to herself. ''But it'd probably be worse if I brought like, three backpacks. So I'm not going to complain too much.''

She laughs, touching her now deep purple cheek. Her laughs quickly turn into cries. ''Why, Why would he say that? Better yet, why would he hit me? He's never hit me in the past?'' She falls to the ground as it begins to thunder, though not yet raining.

''Wow, even the sky can feel my pain. Maybe it's weeping for me?'' she wonders to herself. ''Come on Lennix, we need to keep moving. We need to find shelter before it starts raining.''

Lennix gets up, and starts to run again. She knows where she's going, so she knows there is a train station not even two miles from where she is.

If she keeps running, she'll be able to make it there in less than twenty minutes, hopefully she'll get there in time to be able to get a ticket for the next train.
