"Akshu, we thought it would be good if we got Abhimanyu and you married again." Manish Goenka softly suggested to his granddaughter.

Akshara was shocked, this wasn't what she had expected when her Bade papa said he wanted to talk about something important.

It hadn't been that long since Abhinav died and Akshara was shocked by their audacity to even say something like this.

"What are you telling, bade papa?" Akshara questioned, she felt panic envelop her as her mind registered what her bade papa was suggesting.

Remarriage?

That too to Abhimanyu? Never.

"Is this some joke? Are you guys playing a prank on me?", Akshara asked with surprise written all over her face.

"No Akshu, we are serious." her badi mamma said.

Looking at Akshara's shocked face she added, "But we will never go against your wishes, beta."

Akshara looked at everyone in the living room, as they looked at her with hope in their eyes. While Surekha's eyes held a naughty glint. Of course, she's going to enjoy this drama, thought Akshara.

She felt her throat closing up as tears pricked her eyes. She didn't want to cry in front of them, she needed to escape.

"I'm going to my room."

Akshara hurriedly walked to her room as Bade Papa kept calling to her.

"She's upset. This is why I said now is not the time to talk about all of this." voiced out Bade papa as he gave an angry glance to Mimi and Suwarna

"Don't think so negatively bhaisab, maybe she's gone to her room so that she can ponder on our proposal," Surekha murmured.

"Yes, I'm sure she still loves Abhi somewhere in her heart. And wouldn't it be better for Abhir too if his mother and father stay together? Suwarna you ask Manjari and Abhimanyu to come, it would be better if we get them both married." Mimi ordered everyone.

Manish watched as Suwarna called the Birlas. As much as he believed that they were going to make the situation worse, he couldn't make his wife and mother understand and stop them.

Akshara's petite form sat curled up on the carpet with her back resting against the bed, as she blankly stared out of the window. Her hands held onto a photo frame of her and Abhinav. She looked pale as tears coated her eyelashes, her small upturned nose pink with her lips curling down.

She slowly brought her gaze to the photo as she spoke in a soft but sad voice as tears trickled down her neck, "Abhinav, why did you leave us? I'm not able to live without you. Please come back to us. Please." Akshara cried.

Between hiding the news from her son and then having to stay strong when Abhir came to know, she never got the chance to grieve her husband's death. And now that the control she had over her emotions was broken, she couldn't stop crying.

She could neither stop her tears nor the sobs filling her room. At times like this, she missed Abhinav more and wished he was with them. He had become her home and comfort in the past few years and now that he wasn't alive, Akshara felt homeless and cold.

"Why did you leave me? Why? I'll never scold you. I'll not complain about your habits. Just please come back." She pleaded.

To whom? To Abhinav, to her kanhaji.

She didn't care.

She just wanted her Abhinav back with her.
