Cody's pov

I walk into school, and before I can even get out of the doorway, a purple haired girl grabs my arm.

"Hello my Codykins! It's so good to meet you in real life! This is soooo exciting, I could just die! So, what will we do first? Maybe we'll start off as people who aren't friends, then we'll become friends and blossom into something more? Who knows? Now that I'm here, the possibilities are endless!

I look around for help, and see Noah walking in. I try to gesture to him for help with my eyes, and sure enough, he gets the memo.

"Oh, hi Cody. I left my book in the art room yesterday, will you walk with me to go get it?"

He "acts", but in a very sarcastic tone. But, sure enough, it works.

"Oh, got an errand to run Cody? Well then, I'll see you later! Don't worry, I swear it'll happen."

"Oh my gosh, thank you so much, you just saved my butt."

"Whatever, she's pretty easy to avoid once you know how to."

"But I don't know how to, so you really did save my butt!"

    The bell rings,

"Crap, we have to go to class!"

I really feel like I'm starting to crack Noah's shell.

    Noah's pov

I have to admit, it does feel a little nice talking to Cody. Sometimes. Only sometimes. But maybe.. it'll be good to be friends with him? I keep going back and forth, but even if not for my good, for Cody's. He's not a kid with many friends, and he often seems kind of sad and lonely. I worry for him. But after all these years, I'm afraid it would be awkward to try to become friends with him. I walk to home room with him and make it right before the bell rings.

"Alright students, we have someone new in the class, everyone meet Sierra! I'll give you all some time to get to know her."

I look over at Cody and see his very concerned look, as Sierra does some stupid eyebrow wiggle. I'm scared for him, because knowing Sierra she probably found a way to get into all of his classes. She sits at our table (forgot to mention, we have tables.) and takes out one of those dumb heart shaped chocolate boxes that you get on Valentine's Day.

"Here you go, my Codykins! I got this for you, and I added some delicious additions!"

    "Uh.. thanks..!"

Cody takes the box and shoves it in the deepest crevice of his backpack.

"Hello again, Noah! I see you're just as happy to be back with Cody as I am!"

"Uh.. well, I guess it's a little nice to.. I don't know. I missed Connecticut I guess?"

"And Cody, evidently! You're smiling a lot more than you ever did in New York, and it's been about.. 10 minutes? Just admit that you like his company!"

"Whatever, I guess I do."

Cody breaks into a big goofy grin. Guess it won't be as awkward as I thought.

"Aww, Codykins! Look how cute your little tooth gap is!"

Sierra continues talking to Cody, and so I start on some homework.

Cody's pov:

Noah missed me when he was in New York! Does he want to be friends with me? I hope he wants to be friends with me! Phew, calm down, Cody. I'll let him make the moves, I don't want to rush him.

But still.. YESSS!!
