Hello, and thank you for checking out this book! I ran out of angsty, slow-burn stories to read so now I'm writing one about my favorite BTS ship: Yoonmin. This story will include all of the Bangtan members, but some are secondary characters. No other characters are named after or inspired by real people. This is my first story ever. I am writing it almost entirely from my phone, so I apologize in advance if there are errors or typos. I will do my best to edit and correct those as we go along.

Trigger Warnings:

Please be aware that this story contains the following:

🚩Mild Gore/Violence
🚩Physical & Verbal Abuse
🚩Sexual Harassment
🚩Sexual Assault/Non-con (non-graphic)
🚩Suicidal Thoughts
🚩Fluff & Smutt (only in later chapters)
🚩M-preg (only in later chapters)

There will be a trigger warning for the 1 chapter that deals directly with sexual assault but that is it. Please don't read if this could be harmful for you.

Also, this story won't focus very much on heats/ruts, if at all. I'm just....way too shy to write all that.

Le Ships:

This story includes:

❤️ Yoonmin (very slow-burn)
❤️ Taekook (as a light side ship)

Photo/Image Disclaimer:

I do not own the rights to any of the images/photos used within this story, or the photo used for the book cover. I don't think that is a copyright violation since this is a free story (and always will be), but if that is incorrect someone please let me know.

Story Setting:

The story is set in ancient times, in a village loosely inspired by Korea's Joseon Dynasty, but of course with an omegaverse twist. Some things are a little different in this universe, so I shall explain:

Mates:
In this universe, there are no destined or fated mates. But couples still mate and exchange marks by biting each other where the neck and shoulder meet, below the pheromone gland, leaving a silvery scar. If only one party marks the other then the mark will usually heal and fade within 3 - 6 months. When a couple exchanges marks, their mating bond begins to grow and their emotional and physical connection grows stronger. Strong bonds allow mates to share what the other is feeling, but there is no mind link.

Alphas:
Making up roughly 35% of the population, alphas are the strongest of the wolves. Male alphas are most common but female alphas exist too. A strong alphas pheromones are capable of hurting and sometimes immobilizing a beta or omega with pain or fear. Alphas can mate with other alphas, betas, or omegas.

Betas:
Making up roughly 60% of the population, betas are most common and generally treated with respect. Betas can mate and bond with both betas and alphas, but not omegas. Betas are allowed to hold positions of authority, but most of these roles go to alphas who are more likely to seek them.

Omegas:
Making up less than 5% of the population, omegas are considered rare and are almost always female. While there are some packs who mistreat omegas, they are generally revered for their calming scents and gentle nature. Omegas are the only wolves capable of carrying more than one child, often giving birth to two, sometimes even three children at a time. Their children are almost always alphas, so an omega mate is ideal for a powerful alpha in need of an heir. Male omegas are extremely rare and are often not seen for generations. Because of this, they are considered good omens and extremely valuable to a pack. Even in more civilized packs, male omegas often find themselves with little freedom. They are often used as bargaining chips to seal alliances and trade agreements, given to powerful alphas who want them for status, as breeding stock, or as pleasure slaves.

Rogues:
Any wolf without a pack is considered a rogue wolf. Most rogue wolves are those who were forced out of their own packs for whatever atrocious deeds they committed. In rare cases there are wolves who voluntarily leave their packs. Without a pack to ground them, most rogue wolves go feral within a few years and they are believed to carry pestilence and disease. They often attack smaller packs, hunters or trading parties, and prey on weak betas or omegas in particular, whom they often steal to sell or take as mates. Once a wolf becomes rogue, there is very little chance of being given a second chance with another pack.

🍁 And that's the tea folks. 🍁
