On a Sunday afternoon, plans were set in motion for a gathering at a local restaurant. The atmosphere was cheerful as friends came together, ready to enjoy a leisurely lunch. The food was good, isn't it jake?' I asked jake, who was sitting next to me.
'Yeah It was good than it expected to be.' Jake replied, making me smile.
As we continued our conversation, Jay proposed the idea of heading to a club later that evening. Initially hesitant due to worries about parental disapproval, I found reassurance in Jake's confidence that they wouldn't be discovered. Eventually, we both agreed to join the club outing, and the plan was set for 9 pm.
Fast forward to 7:45 p.m., and i was meticulously selecting an outfit for the night. The decision came down to two options: a sleek black off-shoulder dress that accentuated my curves and a black leather skirt paired with a cute crop top. Ultimately, the first option won my favour, and I began preparing for the evening.
With parents conveniently out of the house for a dinner party, Jake and I were in luck. I dressed up, applied makeup, and checked myself the mirror, satisfied with my chosen looks.
Later, as the clock neared 9 pm, jake and I entered the club to reunite with our friends. The scene inside was electrifying, with pulsating music and flashing lights setting the tone. The venue buzzed with teenagers eager to escape the stresses of daily life, dancing, drinking, and making out in different corners.
Groups of friends huddled together, their laughter blending seamlessly with the bass-heavy music. Some were already feeling the effects of their drinks, their inhibitions fading away with each sip. The DJ was spinning the latest hits, the thumping bass resonating through the crowd. At the bar, colourful cocktails with playful garnishes were being passed around, adding to the youthful excitement.
In one corner, a lively group of girls shared a pitcher of sangria, clinking glasses and dancing without a care in the world. Amidst this vibrant atmosphere,
'You look gorgeous today.' Sunghoon suddenly complimented in my ear, making blush.
'Thank you.' I replied
Yeji pulled me towards the bar for cocktails. As we sipped on our cocktails,i noticed a group of senior boys at the opposite end of the room. One of them made I contact with me smiling.
'Who is that?' Sunghoon asked, noticing me smiling with him sipping in his beer.
'Oh him, he is one of the seniors from our school, I know.' I replied simply
As the night progressed, we group decided it was time to hit the dance floor, which grew increasingly crowded.
We found ourselves in impromptu dance circles, inviting others to join in the revelry. However, it was essential to remember the importance of responsible drinking amidst the festivities. As the night wore on, the atmosphere remained vibrant, filled with laughter, dancing, and clinking glasses. The club served as a sanctuary for teenagers, allowing all of us to socialize and unwind, provided they maintained awareness and made wise choices.
'I will go to the washroom really quick and come yeji just wait here.' I said and went towards the washroom. But when I was returning back, the evening took an unsettling turn when a stranger approached, catching my wrist and making unwelcome advances.
'Hey princess, wanna have some fun?' He asked me , making me cringe. I tried to make him let go of my wrist, thinking that he was drunk, but to my unluck, he didn't let go.
'Please go of my hand.' I said to him, trying not to panic.
'Oh, come on, you are too pretty to let go. What is your name?' He asked, caressing my cheek and tucking my hair behind my ear. I got shivers in my body when he touched me. I was scared as my eyes welled up. I tried to push him off, but there was no use he was way too strong for me to handle.
Warning ⚠️
'Please let me g- '. I was cut short when someone suddenly punched the boy in front of me so hard on his face, making him fall on his face. I noticed who punched him and quickly ran near sunghoon.
'Are you alright, princess?' He asked, cupping my face. I nodded, saying that I was OK. Suddenly, sunghoon was also punched back in his face, making me gasp, but he quickly stood up, fighting back. I tried to stop sunghoon from getting hurt when suddenly jungwon grabbed me away.
'Jungwon, stop them.' I cried, feeling scared that sunghoon well be hurt. Then I saw Heeseung and Jay holding back sunghoon from fighting more, and some other two boys stopped the other one.
We decided to leave the club, and i was still shaken, led Sunghoon to a nearby park. Concerned for his well-being.
'Sunghoon, why did you do that?' I asked, worried.
'Listen, I am fine. You don't have to worry.' He replied
'But look at your lip it's wounded, and your cheek is bruised.' I said, standing up, ready to run to the store next to the park to buy an oilment and an ice pack. But he made me sit down again. Cupping my face, he said,
'Princess, no matter what ,if I have to hurt myself, I'll yet protect you. Remember that and when we come to the club next time don't leave my sid-' I quickly cut him off by pushing his hands before our conversation could continue, the others approached, making me to abruptly leave with Jake, without saying goodbye to the rest.
The night had taken an unexpected turn, leaving us with a mix of emotions and experiences to reflect upon. And especially I was left with a lot of thoughts on why sunghoon is protecting me while hurting himself.
