Chapter 4: Unusual Tutoring

Time flew right by all day. Soon it was the last class of the day, which ment that they would have to be together. The thought of it started to make his brain melt. Elliot was still unsure of how these tutoring lesson where going to go, espicially knowing that his tutor is Charles.

For the whole day that was all he could think of, even during their breaks he would seem absent to which August knew why but not their other friend. She started to worry about him even though he would tell her it was nothing, he was just tired after his math class, but that red head could sense something was off. She waited that him and August would be alone to probe him for information. The poor guy, he knew her well now too, he knew he wouldn't be able to escape her even when his girlfriend Amanda, almost as tall as him with nice but short platinum blond hair and grey eyes. She was quite the catch, part of the artsy kid just like Maia, they knew each other and she wouldn't be scared of her in any threatening way for their relationship.

However Elliot was different, She could tell that August was different when it came to him, he would drop anything to go to his best friend. In any case, Maia was quite intense when Amanda joined them in their lst break.

"So are you going to tell him what's going on with Elliot today? Anyone can see plain as day that he is so off his usual self, please don't make me linger in anguish any longer please." she did make sure to sound dramatic just for fun and to tease him a bit, that was very much her. He tried his best to avoid telling her, it was nothing major and that she should't worry about it, he was already on the case.

"Oh? That does sound interesting, sorry to interupt you guys, but I have to confess, he wasn't quite his usal self in art class too, darling please tell us." Amanda pleaded to his boyfriend enlacing him. Girls, why do they have to work like that together when they really want something he though to himslef. Now, all he could do is give in to those pretty girls that were so demanding of him.

He proceed to tell them about the tutoring session that was planned for tonight. Amanda was quite pleased to hear so, that meant that they could finally hang out after school and have some quality time together, or so she thought. She asked him " So that means you are free tonight then ? Want me to come over for a while? we didn't had much time to hang out since you started the swimming team." he looked at her tenderly. he thougt about his words and then let them out .

"I know, I'm sorry about it , but I'll have to stay here a bit, I want to make sure that this asshole stick to his job and don't cross the line." He was full of concern too for his friend, he didn't want him to be hurt by this moron, he had a tendency to play a dangerous game too play with Elliot's feeling,

To those words, the blond girl didn't react well, but before she could utter her discontent, Maia entered they fray. "Don't worry our shining knight in armor, I've got this for tonight, I didn't had anything plan aside a small art project which I can still do here, take time with Amanda, you both deserve it" she winked at him putting back a smile on the girlfriend's face.

He looked at her with stern eyes, he knew Maia cared alot about Elliot too, but he had the feeling her true intention were else where. It was as she didn't see him as much as a threat as he does. He couldn't very well deny Amanda now that Maia told them her intention of being the guardian angel for the evening.

"Will you watch them close, make sure he doesn't do anything wreckless on our friend? You know he can't be trusted the way he plays with him." he still sounded unsure if this was the best descision to leave it between her hands.

"Do you even have to ask silly, you know I will hold the fort so go ahead and enjoy some off duty time, you've earned it!" the bell rang for the last period of class. " Alright, it's settled, I'll take care of things here and both of you use this time to go on a date." she let a small teasing laught to which August seemed annoyed but accepted nonetheless. after saying good byes, they all went to their separate ways for classes.
