Lena entered her room after the long and tiring day. As she undressed to prepare for a bath, she couldn't help but think about her predicament. The reality of her situation was starting to sink in, and a sense of annoyance began to creep over her. She hadn't changed her clothes since yesterday, and the discomfort added to her frustration. While the warm water filled the tub, Lena found herself alone with her thoughts. She began to mull over her options for escaping this peculiar world. The only solution that came to mind was to somehow help break the curse. However, she couldn't ignore the grim irony that she had written in her own story.
As she slipped into the soothing water, her mind continued to churn. "How can I get out of this?" Lena thought aloud. "The curse, the characters, the fate I've written for them... It's all real now. But I don't know everything about Lena. What did she do? Or rather what did I do? I just know that Lena did something and the prince killed her. I might face the same tragic end as the Lena in my story. Is that the only way out?"
Lena pondered this, her thoughts mirroring the gentle ripples in the bathwater. She knew she had to be cautious, for this world was unlike any other. The warmth of the water offered some comfort, but her mind remained a turbulent sea of uncertainty, searching for a way out of this enchanted tale she now inhabited.
Lena suddenly realized something important. In all her writings and the characters she knew, there was one person missing – Lucian. This discovery gave her hope. Maybe Lucian, this missing character, could help her make sense of this strange world. She felt determined to find him and see if he held the answers she needed to escape from this enchanting but bewildering reality.
I can't help you," a voice suddenly said.
Lena screamed in shock. She was completely startled, standing there naked and alone with a guy who had only existed in her thoughts until now.
"Get the fuck out!" she screamed, her panic and frustration boiling over.
Lucian laughed mischievously and said, "Oops," before disappearing once again. Lena's chest heaved up and down as she tried to calm her racing heart. She couldn't help but curse Lucian for startling her like that.
"You can't curse me. That's mean!" Lucian's voice echoed from the outside, laced with teasing and humor, as if he could read her thoughts. Lena quickly dried herself and dressed before getting out of the bath to talk to him.
"You!" Lena exclaimed, pointing at him. "Who are you? How did you get in here so suddenly?!" she demanded.
Lucian, still wearing the same clothes as the night before, replied casually, "I am Lucian," as if her question required literal answer.
Lena stared at Lucian, taking in his appearance without the shadow obscuring his face. She couldn't help but notice that he was remarkably handsome, his features chiseled and his dark hair framing his face perfectly. His piercing blue eyes seemed to hold a hint of mischief, matching the playful smile that played on his lips.
"How did you know me and my thoughts?" Lena asked, still baffled by his sudden appearance and his uncanny ability to seemingly read her mind.
Lena stared at Lucian, her eyes narrowing with suspicion as she repeated her question from the previous night, "Do you know me?"
Lucian replied with a calm certainty, "Of course." The same answer he gave her last night.
Frustration surged within Lena, her patience wearing thin. "I don't have time for your games," she snapped, her voice tinged with anger.
''I know you are not of this world''
That shocked her and gave her hope. There is someone else who knows about her and hopefully can help her. "I need to get out of here. I don't belong here." She said in desperation.
