Chapter 36: Confession

Days went by, Mikey was in his cell, his arms were chained up against the wall. He eyes struggled to open from being out for so long. He tried to move his arms but he couldn't. Mikey also noticed that the shocking collar was wrapped around his neck once again. " Your chained to the wall, and I have the keys to free you."

Mikey's head jolted up, and seeing Lili. She was in the corner on the other side of the cell. The corner was dark, but enough for Mikey to see her. She was staring down at him with anger. " Are you ok Lili? How long was I out?"

" Ou gen kèk nè fou! Ou se yon mantè! Mwen pa ka kwè mwen te sove ou!" ( You have some f*cking nerve! You are a liar! I can't believe I saved you!) Lili shouted. " Please, I don't understand what you are saying." Mikey pleaded in a soft voice.

" I trusted you, and I saved your life, carried you through that forest, just to found out the person you really are..." Mikey gulped. "Not only are you a mafia boss, but the most dangerous one on the planet! The leader of Bonten?!" Lili exclaimed. Mikey clenched his jaw and gulped again," Yes, that used to be my title, but not anymore. Kisaki robbed that of me, and I've changed."

" You ran a human trafficking operation. You robbed girls of their lives and forced them to become sex objects for your filthy customer!" Lili yelled." Yes, I was in charge of that, but—"

" THE DRUGS STERLING IS USING FOR HIS DOOMSDAY PLAN ORIGINALLY BELONGED TO YOU!" Lili banged her fist against the wall.

" Lili, can you let me explain—" Mikey pleaded but yelped from the shocking collar being activated. Lili was holding the remote and pressed the button hard, then finally released it. Mikey was breathing hard, difficult for him to speak.

" Because of me saving you, I had to endure this..." Lili stepped closer to the bars, showing Mikey in a dim light her shortened hair. The luminous thick hair that she had hip length was shortened to her shoulders. Mikey eyes widened and were hurt from seeing this image. "Your hair..."

" Do you know why hair is so important to black women? It's represents our story, our identity was f our harsh past during slavery. Apart of me was in my hair, but now Sterling cut it off as my punishment...Why did he have to cut my hair?!" Lili teared up.  Mikey was saddened as well for Lili, that he felt like tearing as well. " Lili, I'm so sorry—"

" Save it! This is what is cost me for saving you a**. I'm done with you Mikey. Your on your own." Lili sped out of the room, desperate enough for Mikey to call out to her. " Lili! Please! Don't leave!" Mikey shouted and pleaded. But Lili was already out the door, and she left it open. Mikey eyes were watering and face heating up.

" I really am the problem in everyone's life." Mikey mumbled tearfully. Then multiple footsteps were approaching the room, it was a furious Hanma and Raisa with her girls. " Your finally awake Manjiro!"Raisa shocked Mikey's collar to the max, causing him to scream until his voice gave way and was knocked out cold.

Hanma went in the cell, unlocked the chains and grabbed his feet, dragging him across the floor with his eyes rolling my back. " Hope you had fun in the forest, and your little break. Time for a new lesson."

Providence headquarters was lively as agents were preparing for their next missions, and so was Takemichi and the others. A meeting was conducted a couple of days ago concerning another possible traitor in the agency after arresting the warden. Takemichi, his team, and Madame Carlisle were questioning people nonstop, but they were nothing but the truth.
