Chapter 4:

-Danny-

Ribs hurt too much to move. They are bruised, not broken. Still, they hurt. I had to take the white hoodie off last night so the fabric would leave the damn thing alone.

Dude was trying to do some heavy damage. Think it might have worked truthfully..

Never miss school usually.
I spent most of the night trying to get comfortable. Nothing worked though. Finally feel asleep around 4am, woke up at 10:30am. Since it's already late, I decided not to go after all.
Around noon he forced himself downstairs, to at least shower.

The hot water hurt but it loosened the muscle enough that the ribs didn't hurt as much.. Mom would kill him if she saw this. She'd assume he's fighting again. He did that 2 years ago. He was not going to do that now. He's 17. He's no longer picking fights, he's just trying to make it by... alone. Until 18.

My worst decision this past year had only been Sayhara. Knew that months ago, I just couldn't get away from her. I care about her, heck even loved her at one point. However I don't want to stay if she kept using and cheating on me.
I had made friends each school I went to. Mom noticed he wouldn't date though. I thought it was a waste of time if they kept moving. Mom promised that if they move again, we'll stay this time. So when she moved us back to my childhood home. I knew she meant it. I was 16 at the time. Mom thought it was weird he'd never kissed a girl at that point..
Danny grunted remembering his first time was with Sayhara. She kept saying she really wanted it. He believed he should wait, but she pushed it often enough. She dragged him to a party where he met Stark. Stark stuck with Danny that whole night, they drank together, Danny's first time. Stark got Danny home safe, while Sayhara had flirted with another guy the whole night.
As Stark brought Danny inside Danny's place, Sayhara ran up behind them. She babied Danny on the couch.
At the time, Stark didn't think anything of it. He left the house key on the counter and left Danny with his girlfriend. Sayhara sat on his lap, kissing his neck and whispering sweet nothings. Danny liked the sensations and went with it.
He admits he took initiative in it. He allowed it to happen. He just wish he would have waited. Since then they've had sex a few times a month. But he's never raw nor does he look her in the eyes.
I stopped saying "I love you" as well. I know it's cruel on her behalf, but with all the cheating. I should have left her already. But now I have to, physically I was a target.. as long as Sayhara won't let him go. He needs to break her first..
I'm gonna be selfish.. Petty.

"shit that's cold!" He realized he'd been so lost in thought the water ran cold.
Has it really been 45 minutes? He shook his head climbing out of the shower. He was thankful he'd washed up before it turned cold. His ribs looked yellow and blue, turning purple slowly. "Fucking Tyler".

I wrap the towel around my hips while heading to my room. I loomed over his clothes deciding on some shorts. Grey Addis soft cloth shorts. He rolled into bed letting his mind drift off to sleep.

Bang! Bang, bang, bang.
Silence....
BANG!
"Shit! Okay, okay!" Danny flew out of bed and downstairs. He quickly opened the front door, "what!" I froze. "Oh."
"Where were you? Huh?" Alex walked in past the counter, placing her bag on it, "walked into the school, everything was fine. Noon? No. Everything not fine. There's pictures of what looks like you stalking me yesterday! As I was heading home from school, the caption is "Look At Danny's new Conquest".

Danny was looking at her, not understanding anything she said. "What?" This was all news to me.
"You don't know aaanything about this? Really? Shocking". Her words dripping with sarcasm. She pulls the pictures up on her phone.. I looked at them causally.
"Do you think it's true?" I shifted away from her but turned to face her directly, I kept my face blank.
"What?" She blinked looking at me. I notice her eyes travel down my body, even stopped at the bruise on my ribs. Wonder what she thinks about it.
