Ever since leaving her home in the North Blue, having been tired of wishing on the stars, Kai was only certain of one thing: she was on her own. It was scary, yes, to be darkness-bound and alone at sea, but at the same time, it inspired her greatly; it being shown in all the short writings she drafted and carried with her like they were her most precious treasure.
Being lost at sea made her feel free, a feeling she had never known but that she now could not live without.
Which is why she was going to do everything in her power to help others feel the same way, to help them experience the beautiful freedom she had found. So, when she learned about Orange Town being under siege, nothing was going to stop her from freeing the village, even if it meant having to fight that stupid pirate clown over and over again until she finally won.
