DJ had no choice but to wait out the few days, until Willow found whatever it is that they were looking for. It was presumably a book but DJ couldn't be 100% sure. The next few days were similar, thankfully there were less encounters with that beast that was haunting him.

DJ thought that being back in school on the following Monday, three days after he first ran into the creature might have caused less appearances of it. School and project work had kept him busy so he was barely thinking about anything else, it helped to keep him occupied until Willow came back with an update on their findings.

It was Wednesday now, DJ was on his bus, making his way back to the flat as he usually did after school, when his phone rumbled in his bag. He fumbled around with his bag, rifling through the books and stray scraps of paper until he managed to grab his phone.

Willow had text him,

"Found what I was looking for, talk later"

Finally, some answers. Would all of his problems be solved now? Will he be able to get The Monster out of his head for good?

As soon as the bus doors opened at his stop, DJ rushed out of the bus and to his complex.

He arrived at his flat a few moments later, he opened the door, expecting to see Willow and possibly Nyx.

Nothing, DJ stepped in and closed the door behind him. He walked through the house, calling out for Willow.

"I swore they said they were here." DJ pulled out his phone to check the message,

"Found what I was looking for, talk later" I guess they mightn't be here.

DJ still wanted to check if Nyx was here, since they were also supposed to be helping him with this issue he had.

He checked all of the rooms as he walked down the hall, once he reached the final 2 rooms, owned by him and Phoenix, he could hear muffled music from the other side of Phoenix's room. DJ knocked, remembering that Phoenix was probably wearing headphones if the music sounds like that, he opened the door and walked over to Phoenix at their desk, and he tapped them.

Phoenix jumped, swung around on the chair and whipped off their headphones,

"Hey! You scared the fuck outta me! Knock next time."

DJ didn't even say anything in response, just looked and Phoenix, and looked down at their headphones, blaring music that sounded like it was coming from a car on the street below.

"Oh yeah, you probably did knock. Anyway, whats up?"

Phoenix paused their music and put the headphones on the desk.

DJ finally started to talk, "How are you not at work? And any idea where Willow is?"

"Well I'm working for Willow as of today and since they aren't around, I don't need to work. Couldn't tell you where Willow is though, I can call them to find out if you want."

"Sure, yeah, thanks." DJ went to leave to his room when Phoenix called him back into the room,

"You up for a game of Mario Kart? I reckon I could beat you this time."

DJ chuckled "You say that every time, how's this one going to be so different?"

"Oh it probably won't, I just like the game."

"Fair, call Willow and I'll get it set up."

"Sounds good, see you in a bit."

"Yeah, see you." And with that, Phoenix went on the phone and DJ left to set up their game, hopefully this will pass enough time.

DJ was setting up the TV when Phoenix walked in and sat down on the edge of the bed,

"Willow might be a while," She sighed, "Traffic."

"On a Wednesday at this hour? Shouldn't be."

"That's what I'm saying! At least it gives us time for a game or two."

"True, true," DJ handed Phoenix a controller, "Ready to lose, again?"

Phoenix laughed "You'll lose this time, I'm sure of it!"
