I heard the door open I popped up and looked in the entry way to our condo kairi came stumbling in this nigga was drunk. I caught him when he almost fell face first.
"Baeeeee." He slurred.
"I wanted to kill 'em but da popo pull up n yuh." He slurred.
I felt relieved wait popo?
I sat him on the couch giving him some water and looking at the news.
"New tonight...A man by the name Prince Dallas Jones turned himself in tonight at the Orlando police station for attempted murder on a young mother and her unborn child-
I cut off the tv before I heard the rest of the news story.
Why would prince turn himself in?
I was confused and relieved that kairi didn't do anything
I was mad because I didn't get to do anything
but it's okay in the end
I went in Khalil room and didn't see the giant target on his back
"What lani its four in the morning." I asked rubbing my eyes waking up.
"Khalil woke up tho...he keeps crying." She said.
"Okay I'm coming go back to bed tho lani." I said sighing.
Kehlani ran out me and kairis room when I stood up tiredly kairi pulled me back down to the bed.
"Lemme take care of him mama.... I know you gotta go to yo shop early." Kairi said.
I nodded and said thank you before he kissed me.
It's a lot different from when kehlani was a new born I had to take care of everything on my own but with Khalil kairi takes care of him half the time like I do it's easier.
And kairi was not wrong tomorrow is the first day at the main shop where me jasmine and Nia will be working the rest of the shops was just a chain that I own but this one is gonna be our Main shop.
