Chapter 1

HONK*

"Julianna it's time to go!!" Juliannas mom was yelling and honking for her outside in the car because they were running late for her high school orientation. Jules wasn't easy getting up early, like every typical teenager of course.

"Okay I'm coming!" Jules yells. She puts her leather jacket on and starts running out the door to the car with her mini black back bag. She gets in the car and slams the door shut, as soon as Jules shuts it her mother takes off without even letting her put her seat belt on. "Jeez mom can you slow down a bit?" she says.

"No I can't slow down because someone decided to go to bed at midnight and wouldn't get her butt up this morning" her mom slurred. "Well, when you decide to talk about me can you at least say my name next time?" Jules says. After that the whole car ride was filled with nothing but silence and crappy music playing on the radio.

When the two got there, it was cloudy, and sprinkles of rain were falling from the dark clouds. They start running in and when they open the door, they see a teacher sitting at the entrance at a table. "Why hello Jules, great to see you! And your mom" the teacher says. "Hi Ms. Smith, it's good to see you too" Jules says trying to catch her breath.

"Why so out of breath you two?" Ms. Smith asked. "Aren't we late for the orientation?" Jules says. "The orientation doesn't start for another 10 minutes" Ms. Smith tells them. Jules turns her head to her mom and gives her an evil stare. "What? It's not my fault Julianna, plus your supposed to be keeping up with this stuff not me!" her mom says. Ms. smith giggles and says, "alright you two go have a seat in there and wait for it to start" She points Jules and her mom the way and they head off to sit down.

When they walk inside the room, Jules's mom says, "look its Meine!" Jules smiles big and starts running. "Mei Mei!!" she yells. Meine turns towards the person who was calling her name and sees a person running over to her, it was Jules. "Hi!!" Mei stands up and walks towards Jules. "How are you bestie??" Jules asked. "I'm alright, how are you?" "I'm okay, I am a bit nervous though" Jules replies. "Oh, how so?" Mei asks. "Well, you know Ian will be here soon and also we are freshmen now"

"So, he still hasn't spoken to you?" Mei asks. "Nope" Ian is Jules's boyfriend, they have been together for 6 months now. Lately Ian has been ignoring Jules and she isn't really sure why. Ian's grandparents are both dying, and they mean a lot to him. Their relationship is toxic, Jules has broken up with Ian in the past but gave him a second chance, everyone deserves a second chance. She has been worried about him and she has been trying to reach him, but she would never get an answer back.

"Aw I'm sorry girl, well we should probably sit down now because its about to start" Mei says. They both sat down and waited for the principal to start talking, and then suddenly a door opens and there is two people walking in, it was Ian and his brother Kevin. The two brothers walked past Mei and Jules, Jules was hoping Ian would wave to her or even look at her, but he didn't. Ian and his brother sit right in front of the two girls, Jules's mom whispers "Are you kidding me right now? He didn't even say hello to you" Jules starts to get embarrassed because she thinks Ian heard that since he was right in front of her.

"Good morning RCVS students and parents, welcome to high school orientation" The principal says joyfully. The principal continues with the orientation, Jules was trying so hard to focus and listen but the only thing she could keep thinking is, "Why didn't he say hi to me?" "Why is he ignoring me?" "Is he going to break up with me after orientation was over?" Jules wanted to cry and hide in her pillow, but she couldn't because it would make her look weak and it would also ruin her makeup. To stop herself from crying she distracted herself from him, she tried to listen to the principal again.
