𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗜 carefully tended my wound, and as she applied the bandaid, she gently pulled my long hair away to access the injured area. As her fingers brushed against my neck, a shiver ran down my spine. I couldn't help but involuntarily shrink my arms and feel a chill creep up from the nape of my neck where Nami had touched my hair.
She noticed my reaction and asked, "You good?"
I nodded, still feeling a bit flustered, and replied, "Yeah, your hands are just cold."
Nami's keen eye caught something behind my ear. Her expression turned curious as she inquired, "What's that behind your ear, Yuki?"
I shifted my hair to reveal the tattoo, a mark that held a deeper meaning and a part of my past that I didn't often share.
As I revealed the tattoo behind my ear, Nami's curiosity deepened. The inked symbol held a certain mystery, and I could see her mind racing with questions.
Nami gently traced the tattoo with her fingers, and her voice softened as she asked, "What's the story behind this tattoo, Yuki?"
I hesitated for a moment, considering whether to share this part of my past with her. With a sigh, I decided to open up a little more to Nami.
"It's a symbol from a time long ago," I began, my voice tinged with a hint of memories. "But it also carries some bad memories—a reminder of the challenges and hardships I've faced.
Though I don't remember every detail, I can still recall the person responsible for those difficult memories. I've lost some of the details over time. It happened because of head injury, like pieces of a puzzle that got jumped up and went missing"
Nami's eyes widened as she made the connection.
Nami's expression grew solemn as she asked, "What's your last name, Yuki?"
Confused by the sudden question, I replied, "Enjin, Yuki Enjin."
Nami's "oh" carried a tone of sadness and surprise, and then she continued, "Well sometimes, it's the difficult moments that shape us the most," she said empathetically. "But it's also a testament to your strength that you've come this far."
I smiled appreciatively at her words, grateful for the support and understanding. Sharing these difficult memories felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders.
