School goes by quicky. I get home and go up to my room to change in some more comfortable clothing. Abigail insist on coming over so that we can discuss Friday night's kick-back. After I finish getting dressed I head downstairs to look for something to snack on until she gets here. I go into the pantry to retrieve a box of cheez-it to satisfy my hunger. I hear a knock, as I am pilling a fistful of the crackers into my mouth. I began to walk to the door, already knowing who is on the other side. I barely open the door as Abigail pushes right past me and heads up to my room before I could utter a single word. I close the door following in behind her mentally rolling my eyes. As I get into my room she is laying across my bed with her feet folded in the air and her elbows proping her head up for support, she wastes no time filling me in on the details. "Okay, so you're going to stay the night with me friday, we'll tell your parents we're going to watch movies and blah, blah, blah but in reality we are going to the kick-back. You'll meet Conner, Kian, and a whole bunch of other people. Be sure to wear something cute, and short, but most importantly stay calm, you have nothing to worry about," she babbles. "I'm always calm, and why something short?" I retort. "Because silly, these are sex hungry men, and face it girl you need to get laid,"she states. My mouth falls to the floor embarassed at her use of words. Abigail has always been frank to say the least. "I will not be someone's chew toy, but I'll see what I can find; In the mean time I have to ask my parents if it's okay that I go with you tomorrow," I say. "They'll be fine, to ease your trouble I'll ask them myself. You know they love me," she says smiling. I am slightly at ease knowing that Abigail is willing to ask my parents if I can spend the night with her. I am such an horrible liar, with the help of Abigail things should go smoothly. She grabs her bag as we make our way to the hallway, running into my mom. "Hey Abigail I didnt know that you were here," my mother states. "Hey Mrs. Patel, I was just stopping by to talk to Alice, but I was wondering if it was okay that Alice stays the night with me tomorrow?" she ask. "Um, sure I don't see why not. What do you girls have planned?'' she ask causing me to become nervous, knowing that I was lying to my mother. "We were just going to have a girls night, you know, watch movies and do each other nails," says Abigail, her words come out smoothly as if she's rehearsed the lines over a thousand times. "Okay, that sound like fun. Will you be joining us for dinner tonight, Abigail?''my mom asks. "No ma'am, as a matter of fact I should get going. Alice I'll see you tomorrow," Abigail says, walking down the stairs and out of the door.
