why is this chapter literally longer than the last??? I swear I tried to not make this yet another filler chapter ToT this chapter is kind of the firestarter for a lot of drama coming in later chapters so if it feels like a filler I promise I tried ToT

As soon as the plane lands and we get the all-clear to turn off airplane mode, I can tell something's amiss. Every publicist or PR rep on the plane starts talking all at once, filling the plane with frantic chattering that makes my still-half-asleep head hurt after a long plane flight of sleep.

I wake up in a flash as soon as we step off the plane due to the massive wall of sticky, humid air that hits me as we step onto the tarmac.

well hello, costa rica

it's almost as if every memory of the year we spent shooting in the sticky climate floods back to me all at once.

some 45 minutes later, we're escorted into the air-conditioned haven of the resort's lobby, and still, our PR team is bustling around in some sort of panic.

just as we're about to disperse to find our rooms on the massive resort, Leslie claps her hands.

"Hey! everyone! we had a small change of plans, as the studio we were planned to do interviews and photoshoots with had to cancel due to the fact that half of their team is positive for covid" She explains

relief floods through me, I'll never complain about a day off from the stressful nature of being on a press tour, but Leslie doesn't let me feel like that for long

"now, don't get all hyped, because I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the company signed us up for a VIP experience at this high ropes course that has fantastic ratings, and since they paid, we're going."

"It's great team bonding!" Rob, Leon's publicist quips

"If we get any more bonded, we're going to be physically fused together" Star groans
