Why did you say that?

I, Albus Severus Potter, have just fucked up my relationship with my closest and only friend. And the worst part is that I didn't even mean what I said, but I panicked too much to think right. Or maybe I was right and my feeling for Scorp was just the alcohol talking... no.

I think the best thing to do, for both me and Scorpius, is to not act upon any feelings like those expressed at the party.
Yes, that must be best. It would change our life dynamic, and we can't afford that right now.

Right?

My thoughts were interrupted by knocking on my door. It was Scorpius.

"Hey Al, you still coming with me for Christmas?" He yelled through the door, his voice giving to sign that they had the encounter only a matter of hours before.

When Albus didn't respond, Scorpius walked in.
"It's OK if you don't want to," He smiled.

"N-no, of course I'll still come." Fuck, why am I stuttering??

"Good, cause I already told dad you were," he laughed nervously.

Scorpius smiled and handed the Potter an envelope from Mr. Malfoy before walking out.

The contents of the letter were as follows:

Dear Mr. Albus Potter,
My son has informed me that you wish to accompany us at Malfoy Manor for the holidays. Although I am wary because of your family situation and why you chose to be with my Scorpius instead, that is not my business to be a part of.

You are welcome to stay for as long as you'd like, and whenever you may need. I am pleased about your relationship with my son.

Oh, and Potter, my son told me about the incident. I hope you don't mean to hurt him, for we will have issues if you do. There are some mistakes that you are not meant to make.

All the best,
Mr. Draco Malfoy

Ps. All information about the upcoming journey can be found on the ticket encased in the envelope.

Sure enough, Albus almost instantly located a train ticket wich had fallen out of the envelope.

Apparently he and Scorpius would have to get out of classes early to not miss their train, wich would be a five hour ride from Scotland. How they're going to get to the train station in Scotland remains a mystery, but they have two months to figure it out.

Timeskip and Scorpius
----------------

Over the last couple of months, Albus and I have regained the friendship that we had. I think we've both finally come to understand that a romantic relationship wouldn't have been good for us, and that's OK. Keeping him is more important anyway.

Tomorrow we have to get to the UWT in Scotland. It's important we as young folk traveling without an adult, gave a safe method of transportation. Unidentifiable Wizarding Transportation is dedicated to this situation, keeping multiple trusted volunteer Aurors, teachers, politics, and other high status adults in each compartment. UWT has zero policy for any unwanted behavior, especially towards children, and to enforce this, some of the highest witches and wizards (including Minerva McGonagall, Bill and  Charlie Weasley, Rowena Ravenclaw, and, rumor has it, Merlin himself) have cast spells on it to prevent anyone from knowing the identity of each passenger besides the supervisors and the people traveling with them.

I have discussed it with the Headmistress, and Professor Longbottom will drive us. Apparently he was going to get off early to see his Wife anyway, so it all works out.

Both boys were starting to get excited.

Hello everyone, it has been SO LONG since I updated, and although I feel bad about it, I don't have to tell you what's going on in my life. It's just generally a rough patch. I am working on it though.
Keep some faith in me, please

I hope you enjoy the book so far
