'Brngg brnng' the sound of an iPhone alarm set off. The sound of a groan coming from under navy blue sheets echoed in the room.

Mondays. Niki hated Mondays. Even during the summer, he still hated the day. He didn't know why he hated Mondays so much, he just did.

He ripped his sheets off of his body. The cold air that hit his bare back made him shiver. His feet gently hit the carpet as he grabbed ahold of his phone, shutting off the noisy alarm.

He pulled himself up from the bed and slugged over to his closet. He hated his uniform, the tie was ridiculous, and his sweater made him sweat in class.

He sighed, pulling his uniform out from his closet, quickly changing. He took a quick look in the mirror, to make sure his hair looked okay before he grabbed his bag and headed downstairs.

The house was quiet. That usually meant that his parents were gone to work, and his sisters were still asleep. He slipped his feet into his black vans, before opening the front door.

"Finally." He was greeted by 5 other boys, and a young girl who were waiting by his front door. He rolled his eyes at the ginger girls comment, before skipping down his front steps.

"Do you guys always have to come here this early." Niki questioned, pulling a lollipop from his bag, opening it and sticking it into his mouth.

A brunette boy patted his shoulders, grinning ear to ear. "Ahh come on mate, you'd be lonely without us." The boys accent was thick, almost as thick as his cocky personality.

"It would be a lot more peaceful, mate." Niki replied, mimicking the boys accent back at him. The brunette rolled his eyes, pulling his arm off the taller young man's shoulder.

"Jake, it's too early for your bullshit." The ginger haired girl spoke. Niki remembered when they first met Mei Lien. She was mean, snobby, bossy, and always picked a fight.

They were also 7, so maybe it was just the age. Her personality grew on Niki as they got older. As they grew, her personality softened, but she always would keep the boys in check.

"I don't remember talking to you, ginger" Jake remarked, before the shorter girl smacked his shoulder hard. Before anyone knew it, the two were going back and forth, arguing with each other.

"Do you have to argue so early in the morning." The boy with pink hair mumbled, adjusting his headphones on top of his head. Sunoo was probably Niki's closest friend.

He met Niki in middle school, when Sunoo had first moved to their city. Niki always remembered him as the boy he had bright colored hair. They quickly bonded over Marvel, talking about their favorite superhero's

Sunoo was on the quieter side, he wouldn't really say much unless he had to. Niki liked that about him. "These idiots..." the boy standing next to Sunoo snickered, snapping a picture of the two.

"Sunghoon, was that really necessary?" Another questioned. That was Sunghoon and Jungwon, the two that came in a package. Niki couldn't remember how he became friends with them, he just knew that they genuinely knew how to make him laugh.

"Both of you cut it out, now." Shivers moved down both Jake and Mei Lien's spine, as silence fell among the group. Niki swallowed hard, feeling bad for the bickering two.
