Park DongMin had only one wish  to find his grandson, it was too late to apologize to his son, they had a falling out twenty years ago when his son had insisted on marrying a woman DongMin considered beneath his son. The Park family was worth billions of Won and he wanted his son to marry someone that would reflect their status not some poor girl with no family and no money, but JongHyun insisted saying he loved Seo Jin, DongMin threatened to disown him if he didn't change his mind, but JongHyun was determined to marry SeoJin and he defied his father's wishes.

DongMin couldn't cut his son off completely, he had his Secretary find out where his son and his new wife lived, two years later they gave birth to a baby boy, when his son died two years later he disguised himself and went to the funeral. When everyone had left the funeral hall he knelt in front of his son's picture and wept for all the wasted years they spent apart.

He came to a decision a few days after the funeral, he would have his grandson and daughter in law come stay with him. He had his secretary drive to the apartment. He headed up the stairs and knocked on the unit several times but there was no answer, there didn't seem to be any noise coming from inside either, no child's laughter or noise from a tv or appliances running and he could hear noises from other people's apartments but this one was quiet. He figured they were probably out maybe getting groceries, a neighbor noticed him.

"May I help you?" It was a middle aged woman, she wore an apron, pink blouse and floral pattern pants, she looked at DongMin suspiciously, he took off  his hat and nodded trying to look like a harmless grandfather not some creepy old man hanging around an apartment.

"Do you know when the people that live here will be back." DongMin asked.

"They moved,or rather she moved after she left her son with his grandparents, it must be hard raising a child by oneself." The woman said.

DongMin was confused SeoJin was an orphan she had no parents and his grandson definitely wasn't with him, so where was she and where was the child ?

That had been sixteen years ago and despite his secratary searching they were unable to find him.

SeoJin sipped her tea as she skimmed through a fashion magazine, she could hear the faint sounds of the vacuum cleaner running as the housekeeper cleaned the mansion. There was a pile of shopping bags on her bed, she glanced at the gold slim watch on her wrist a gift from her husband HaJoon for their seventh wedding anniversary, SeoJin twisted the wedding ring on her finger, she loved being the wife of a rich businessman, her husband spoiled her with gifts and family trips, they even had an adorable little girl , the other wives were envious of her and she wasn't above bragging about it, but ever so humbly of course, it wasn't her fault if her "friends" got jealous that they vacationed in Bali for Christmas or that her husband had dropped over a million Won for a vacation villa in Jeju Island. But there was one thing that she was worried about people finding out and that was the fact that she had abandoned her first child after her first husband died , she had at one time meant to come back when she had found a better situation , but then realized most men didn't want to date a woman who already had a child so she pretended she wasn't a mother just a widow . She met HaJoon while she was his secretary, he wasn't married, but he had gone on dates though no one had caught his interest. He was just building his business when they started dating, over the years the business had grown and soon they were married, six years later she gave birth to a baby girl, she was happy, she had a perfect life and nothing or no one would shatter it, she determined.

Seoul was huge, the sights, sounds, smells it was a far cry from the village that JongSuk had grown up in, he stepped off the bus dragging his suitcase behind him, luckily the bus stop was right in front of the university so he didn't have far too walk, all around he could see students walking about the campus. He pulled out his phone and pulled up the map he had downloaded the night before, the dorms were close by near the fine arts department, the culinary department was on the other side of the campus, and the school Canteen which he was going to be working at to help pay for meals and everything else the scholarship didn't cover was right in the middle of everything,JongSuk headed towards the dorms.

The room was unoccupied when he entered the room, there was a bunk bed  and two desks. He wanted to start unpacking, but he wasn't sure which bed his roommate would want and he didn't want to get on the wrong foot with someone he'd be sharing a room with for the next four years. The door slammed open , JongSuk turned around watching as a boy several inches taller than him came into the room, he was dragging a suitcase behind him. He had sharp features made even scarier by the all black ensemble he wore, for some reason he reminded JongSuk of a dinosaur, he snorted trying to hold back the laugh at the the image of this boy being a dinosaur, luckily the other boy didn't hear him or if he did he chose to ignore him . Instead throwing his backpack on the top bunk leaving the bottom bunk unoccupied, JongSuk dropped onto the bottom bunk, he wanted to introduce himself, he didn't want his roommate to think he was rude, but then again he didn't know why he had to introduce himself first, he hated meeting new people, he would get tongue tied and not know what to say or worse he'd get so nervous he'd start babbling and come across like an idiot. He started unpacking, he didn't have a lot of stuff so it didn't take long, when he was finished he lay on the bed, staring at his phone, he really had no one to call except the younger children at the orphanage, it wasn't like he had left a lot of friends behind, at school everyone avoided him as if being abandoned and living in an orphanage was somehow contagious and they would somehow wake up orphans if they went near him, he was never bullied just ignored, he had preferred being ignored.

He sighed and put his phone away, he was going to have to head to the Canteen soon, since the dinner rush would be starting. He had to also get up at five in the morning for the breakfast rush, the only time he didn't need to work was during lunch hours. Monday his classes started apart from culinary class,he also had to take chemistry , math , business and biology.

This was going to be his life for the next four years, he didn't know how to feel about it.
