JongSuk stepped off the bus , Saturday afternoon, he was supposed to be meeting Jin Hee at the mall for lunchshe had suggested that if they were going to pretend to be a couple they might as well make it look legit and actually go on dates. She texted him saying her job at the department store she worked at during the weekends was running a bit late

JongSuk texted her back It's fine I'll wall around the mall He put his phone away ,since it was Saturday the place was bustling with people, the mall was six stories with a glass elevator. He was on the lower level he decided to check out a store that sold cooking utensils.

JongSuk was about to head over when he heard what sounded like a child crying,he looked around and spotted a little girl about six years old sitting on one of the benches crying, he looked around it seemed no one was paying attention to her they were just hurrying past . JongSuk wondered where her parents were, did she have parents? Or had she been abandoned by like him. He went over to her and knelt in front of the bench.
"Are you all right," he asked. The little girl gulped back her sobs and looked up, JongSuk smiled hoping the little girl wouldn't be scared of him, he was a stranger after all.
The little girl shook her head." I can't find Eomma, I lost her!" She wailed "I wanted to look at the toys at the toy store, but Eomma was looking at boring dresses so I went by myself but then I couldn't find the department store we were at." The little girl broke into a fresh round of sobbing. JongSuk sat next to her, " Did your parents tell you what you should do if your lost." He asked .
The little girl nodded, "Find a grown up, I forgot cause I was scared, but I told you, Oppa so that counts and stay in one place" she added
The little girl's name was Kim Hani, she was six years old, when she grew up she wanted to be what she called a vegetarian. He introduced himself .
"Because they help animals and I really like animals specially kitties, I found a lost kitty and wanted to keep her, but Eomma said no cause it would mess up the furniture." Hani chattered
It took JongSuk half a second to realize what she was saying. "You mean a vetanarian , a vegetarian is someone who eats vegetables."
Hani wrinkled her nose make a face "oh yuck, I don't like vegetables, but Eomma makes me eat them cause they're healthy, sometimes Ahjumma ,she takes care of me let's me throw them out when Eomma isn't around. She and Appa go out at night to um s'ciety(society) stuff "
Hani turned to him, "Do you have an Appa and Eomma."
JongSuk hesitated but shook his head, Hani looked at him in surprise and asked "Then who tucks you in and reads you storybooks before bed and bandages your cuts and blows on them."
JongSuk was about to answer when Hani spotted something in the distance, she jumped up excitedly, "There's my Eomma and Appa!" She was about to run off when she turned back around and grabbed his hand pulling him up from the bench she practically dragged him with her .
