When Nayak turned to look around, she realized that the lighting in the space was weak, coming from a lamp that was somehow attached to a pole above her. She was uneasy as she waited for what was going to happen next in the quiet room.

Then, as she could hear footsteps coming toward the room's entrance, her ears perked up. The door burst open, revealing a middle-aged man dressed in a uniform that, except for the strange vest and helmet, was similar to the other soldiers. He sat down silently on the opposite side of the table, and she waited impatiently for him to say something.

"Good Afternoon, ma'am" He greeted her calmly, pausing momentarily to put both of his hands on the deck and give her a vacant stare.

"You may be confused, nervous, or Afraid." He began while she tried to keep her breath

"You know that one of our men attacked one of your companions when they both found you all in a shipwreck" He proceeded, and she started to perspire. The soldier took a breath and looked at her emphatically.

"I understand that you are scared but I assure you we can clear this whole situation and put all of this aside if you were to cooperate with a few given questions."

"You are no prisoner that I promise you" The man attempted to assure her as she began to stop trembling from her seat

"So, first question first what is your name?" He then asked

"N-Nayak." A stutter came from her mouth

"Okay Nayak," She was completely calm, but there was a small nervousness in the air

"Two of our men discovered you and your companions in a shipwreck." He then stated the event that followed a few days ago

"So we want the reason what took place in that ship before all three of you were trapped in the wreckage?"

"W-we tried to escape." She responds by recollecting what happened

"Escape, from what?" He asked curiously raising a brow

"From the the Selaryn Empire."

"What is these Selaryn you speak off?" She was confused by his question and just stared at him

"What do you mean? The Empire of Selara, one among the few 'great empires'." He nodded his head gently and maintained his expression of curiosity while she explained.

"What else can you tell me about this empire?" He further questioned her

"The Selaryn empire, a powerful kingdom, and yet ruthless. Do you not know of the Selaryns?" She inquired, a little taken aback by the man's ignorance.

"May as well be." Her bewilderment was not resolved by his response

"Well, if you are escaping from this empire, where are you escaping to?"

"Anywhere, far from there towards here, the continents" She responded as he nodded

"Can you tell me what has gotten your ship to wreck into shores?" Then, as she was beginning to consider what had led her here, his question suddenly occurred to her.

"W-we were attacked by pirates." She began as he listened

"at sea but then, a storm came in, as it happened, We were trying to gather weapons from the armory until we were trapped inside as the ship hit into shore." She continued

"W-we don't know all we could hear was that they fled from the area, we don't if the pirates went after them or if they escaped somewhere in the continent. Mayra, my sister she could be out, and the pirates they-" Her eyes suddenly opened eye wide in panic
