"You are so late!!" Phoebe said to Mavis as they made for their classes.

"I know that" Mavis said rolling her eyes.

"And what the hell happened to your eyes??" Pheobe asked really shocked.

"Can we talk about this later??" Mavis asked as they sat on a desk in the class.

They were early for literature class and that's because Phoebe is so much in love with literature.

"We can talk about this now, because this might be the only time we'll have except you plan to sit with me over lunch??" Phoebe asked with a broad smile.

"I'm gonna break down if I think about it"

"I knew that guy didn't love you!!" Phoebe said and Mavis had a puzzled look on her face.

"Don't try to hide it!!" Phoebe said sternly "Not to worry I'm gonna deal with him" she said as she took out a pen and a notepad from her bag.

"Hide what??" Mavis asked really confused now.

"The fact that Cian broke up with you,look I know your..." Phoebe said but Mavis broke out in laughter.

"Jeez why the laugh??" Phoebe asked embarrassed now.

"We didn't break up Phebs!!" Mavis said trying to hold in the laughter.

"Ohh" she said with a sad face. "Now I feel like a fool" Phoebe said with a frown.

"That's because you are so eager for me to breakup with Cian"

"So why the swollen face and red eyes?"Phoebe asked.

"Jodie and dad had an argument yesterday"

"OMG!!!" Phoebe squealed "what happened? Is she locked up now? Was it because of you" pheobe asked.

"A lot happened, well I'm at fault a bit but..."

"I'm so sorry bes" Phoebe interrupted.

"It's fine"

"Did you get grounded about that call from school??"

"Surprisingly I didn't" Mavis smiled.

"Well that's good because I'm having a party this weekend and you should be there" Phoebe announced with a big smile.

"I can't make it" Mavis said as she took out a book from her bag.

"Cmon, please be there"

"I have to work!!"

"Why do you have to work, your dad can give you anything you need"

"Jodie ain't gonna hear that"

"But you always have a way to talk to her"

"She's asking me to go for extra shift so I'm not sure she's gonna let me go for any party"

"Cian is gonna be there" Phoebe said trying to convince Mavis to come.

"I'll still talk to him on socials so it's fine"

"Please!!!" She pleaded.

"Phebs I really wish I could come but..."

"It's fine I knew you never cared" Phoebe said rolling her eyes as she moved away from Mavis.

"Well you know I care" Marvis said reluctantly.

Owen sat in class his brow furrowed in thought as he absentmindedly sketched in his notebook. He was used to having his best friend, jayden, by his side, but today something seemed off. Owen heart sank a little as he wondered what had happened between them. Suddenly he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He looked up to to see phoebe standing there a warm smile on her face.
