"There is a new girl in school" Mavis announced to Phoebe.

"That ain't my business"

"Well she looks cool" Mavis said as they headed to their locker.

"Stay clear from her"

"Why??"

"She looks like bad luck" Phoebe said sternly.

"Well you can't judge a book by the cover"

"I'm the social one bes , I know people by their looks" Phoebe said as they finally got to their locker.

"I ain't gonna judge her till I get to know her" Mavis said as they picked up their book for the next class.

"It's up to you, I have physics now so I'm gonna head out to the lab" pheobe said as she finally notice the smile on Mavis face.

"Why the smile??" She said a bit petrified.

"She's coming this way" Mavis said

"Fuck!!, I'm out of here!" Phoebe said heading for her class.

"Hi" Mavis waved to the new girl as the girl walked slowly to where Mavis stood.

"I'm Mavis" she said as she stretched her hands for a shake.

"I'm Mira" the new girl said as she quietly put her hands in her pocket.

"It was only a friendly handshake" Mavis rolled her eyes.

"Ohhh,maybe that would be later" Mira smiled.

"Well you just missed my best friend Phoebe,you should have heard about he already, she's quite popular though"

"Yeah I heard she's rude and sassy" Mira said as they stood facing each other now.

"Phoebe is a handful but she's got a big good heart" Mavis said trying to give a good impression of Phoebe.

"I have geology class now could you please take me there? I might get lost again if I go alone" Mira said

"Well I'm heading for language class but I don't mind showing you, we'll have to be fast though so i can make it to my class" Mavis said as she opened her locker to get her language book.

"Who's the guy?" Mira asked as she pointed to a picture of Cian that was on Mira's locker.

"Ohh, this is Cian his the leader if the basketball team and..."

"So your obsessed with him? He's cute though but I doubt if he'll go for a girl like you" Mira interrupted.

That was a big shock to Mavis. Her mouth dropped open she had no idea why mira would think Cian wasn't into her.

"Well surprisingly, he's my boyfriend" Mavis said with a smile as they turned into the long hallway leading to geology class.

"Wow that's surprising" Mira said more in a whisper than voicing it out.

"Well the geology class is the third door by your left good luck cos miss Sandra is such a bore, I'll be heading to my class now" Mavis said

"Third door by my left got it, thanks for the direction maybe we'd talk during lunch" Mira suggested.

"Yeah you could sit with Cian and I" Mavis said before realizing she wasn't in good terms with Cian.

Too late to suggest somewhere else cos Mira already left.

"He couldn't even apologize" she said underneath her breath and she headed for her class.

"I actually talked to the new girl today" Mavis said to Phoebe as they headed for Phoebe's spot in the cafeteria
