Random description of OC characters (the physical appearance of these characters will be described throughout the story, however, I did not want to pick any actors to potray them):

Aino Kalla: Our protagonist (besides George Weasley). A 19-year-old (at the start of this story) Finnish witch who lost her fiancé during the Second Wizarding War. Bright, outgoing, empathic, stubborn.

Onni Kalla: Aino's younger brother (only a year younger). Really close with his sister. Will always be there for Aino. Shy, thoughtful, curious.

Risto Kalla: Aino's father. A healer who runs his own surgeon. A pureblood wizard. Keeps a lot of secrets which will be revealed, at least partly, during the story. Bright, secretive, introverted.

Kiira Niemi: Aino's best friend. A muggleborn witch. Outgoing, flirtatious, careless.

David Robards: Aino's former fiancé. Died in the Battle of Hogwarts. Calm, determined, gentle.

Gawain Robards: Aino's former father-in-law. The Head of the Auror office in Ministry of magic. Only one of these characters that is not actually an OC but mentioned in canon. Cunning, self-aware, traditional.

Gabriel Robards: David's younger brother.

Mari Saarre: David and Gabriel's mother.

A/N (I know it's long but it is also important):

This part will contain the first meeting of our pair but otherwise the start will be slow. This is a slowburn fic and the background of the two will be covered widely. I would like you to get to know our pair, especially Aino since she is an OC, and the relationships they have with their family/friends.

Even though the romance will be the main plot of this story, it won't be the only thing addressed during the story. I'd call this a romantic suspense story since there is a lot of mystery unfolding throughout it. This fic is not story-wise based on any book/movie/fanfiction, but it is possible I have taken unintended inspiration from other works.

I would also like to remind to check out the warnings in the story description before starting reading. This story will cover some heavy topics mainly related to the loss of a loved one. I, unfortunately, have experienced a loss and some of the thoughts written are the same I have been through. Let's remember everyone griefs differently and the ways protagonists will cope won't necessarily resonate with all readers.

As you have probably already noticed, there is Finnish characters in this story. The main reason is that I could not bring myself to write believable British OCs since I am not British myself. You don't need to know anything about Finland beforehand (besides that it's a country in Northern Europe). The nationality is not in big focus in this story. However, there is for example some lines in Finnish (+translations for readers) to underline the fact that only Finnish characters can understand what is spoken. Also, the playlist contains some songs in Finnish.

As adressed before, English is not my first language and even though I'll try my best, I can still make mistakes. Correcting my grammar is allowed, even wanted. I'd want to develop my English skills. Thank you for understanding.
