Chapter 13: Jealous

Grant's Pov:

I wake up to Kam laying on my chest with his arm wrapped around my waist, still asleep. I kiss his head and he starts to wake up. He sits up and looks at me, then he gets up to go to the bathroom but forgets he has a sprained ankle.

"Ow, fuck." He says in pain.

I get up and quickly go over to him to help him to the bathroom. I go in there with him and brush my teeth and so does he. When i'm done I go and get my clothes that I have at his house and get dressed and sit on his bean bag chair and start waiting for him to get ready so I can drive us to school since we don't take the bus anymore. Kam comes out of the bathroom still in his boxers and sits on my lap.

"Kam what are you doing, you need to get ready for school."

He ignores me and kisses my lips and puts his hand on my chest and deepens the kiss. He pulls away and stands up and limps over to his closet to find something to wear. I get up to go help him since he can't move well. He gets his clothes and I take them from him and set them on the bed.

"I'll help you." I say grabbing his pants as he sits on the bed.

I slide his pants up his legs and lift him up to get them over his hips. Then I grab his shirt and slip it over his head. I hold him by the waist, keeping my hands under his shirt and kiss his neck. I pull away and stare into his big blue eyes. Then I grab his socks from his dresser as he sits down in the bed again. I put one of his socks on and put the other sock over his ankle brace, then I put his slides on and give him his crutches.

"You ready." I ask looking for my keys but when I don't get a response I turn around.

I see Kam sitting on the bed staring at me with tears in his eyes.

"Kam? Are you alright?" I hurry over to him kneeling down in front of him.

"Yeah, it's just you're too good for me."

"Kam, no I'm not."

"Yes you are Grant. You take care of me better than anyone ever has before."

"That's because I love you Kam, I always will." I say reassuring him.

"I love you too Grant." He says and I wipe the tears from his eyes with my thumb.

I help him up off the bed and kiss him before handing him his crutches again. I grab his and I's backpacks and my keys and we head out the door.

TIME SKIP

It's the end of the day and me and Kam are walking to the gym for basketball practice. Since Kam can't play he's just going to sit in the bleachers and watch.

Coach starts practice by making us run. He told us that we have to run 20 suicides.

I finish my suicides and go to walk over to Kam but he's not there so I go out into the hallway to get water from the water fountain. As I walk out the gym doors I see Dominic and Kam talking further down in the hallway. I can't hear them but Dominic has his hand on Kam's shoulder and then hugs him.

Dominic starts walking back into the gym and doesn't even take one glance at me.

"What was that about?" I ask Kam walking up to him.

"Oh nothing really."

"What did he say to you?" I ask getting a little irritated he's not telling me.

"He was just apologizing to me." He replies.

"About?"

"What happened between me and him. He wanted to say sorry for coming between me and you like he did."

"And you trust him?"

"Yes Grant. I forgive him. You don't need to be so protective, you do trust me don't you?"

"Yes of course."

"Ok, then there's nothing to worry about." He smiles at me and crutches back to the gym.

I get water and go back in the gym as well. When I walk in Kam was standing stationary on the free-throw line shooting while Dominic was rebounding for him.

"Coach had to leave for an emergency, he said for you give us stuff to do since you're co-captain and Kam's out." Sam says as I walk up to him.

"Oh uhm, I guess just shoot around for right now until I come up with something." I reply.

I look over at Dominic and Kam and they're laughing. My legs start moving before my mind does. I walk quickly across the gym to them.

"Dominic leave I got this." I demand not meaning to sound so rude.

"Why, we're doing just fine." He snaps back.

"Because I said so and I'm in charge, coach said so."

"Fine." He huffs and goes over to Daniel.

Kam turns back to me and says, "What the fuck was that Grant?"

"I can rebound for you, he doesn't need to be over here."

"You don't get to boss around Dominic just because you're co-captain and me and him used to be a thing. You need to grow up Grant." Kam says.

I slowly walk to Kam and place my hand on his waist under his shirt to where no one can see.

"I know that but I also know how Dominic is, he never has good intentions. Trust me baby." I knew he always got butterflies when I called him 'baby'.

His big, wide, blue eyes just looked up at me, he's not that much shorter than me but he still looks up at me.

"I love you." I whisper in his ear before walking away to tell the team the drills we're going to do.

TIME SKIP

It's the end of practice and Kam already went out to my car and it's just me and Dominic in the gym. I walk up behind him and grab his shoulder.

"I just want to let you know that if you fucking try anything or do anything to Kam, I won't hesitate to fuck you up." I let go of his shoulder and walk towards the door.

"Oh and don't forget to shut off the lights and lock the doors. Bye." I remind him before walking out.

I get to my car and get in the drivers seat and throw my stuff in the backseat.

"What took you so long?" Kam asks.

"I just uhm...had to remind Dominic to lock up everything." I say.

"Oh." Is the only response Kam gives.

"So, yours or mine?" I ask.

"Yours."

I start the car and pull out of the parking lot and start to drive home.
