Chapter 20: Mom

Grant's Pov:

"Hello?" She says.

"Hey uhm, it's Grant, I know I haven't seen you in a long time but do you uh think I could meet you somewhere to talk?"

"Yes of course, let's meet at Kobe, that's always been your favorite restaurant."

"No that's not my favorite, it's Texas Roadhouse."

"Oh well uhm we can meet there then."

"Ok."

I get up from my bed and grab my keys and go downstairs. I get in my car and start to drive to the restaurant.

When I get there I walk in and go up to the front desk.

"Hey could I get a table for two I have someone coming."

"Yes follow me." The waiter grabs a couple menus and leads me to a booth.

"Thank you." I say before he walks away.

"I'll be over soon to get you drinks."

"Ok."

I sit down and just wait for her.

About 20 minutes goes by and still no sign of her. I start to get up and go pay and leave when she quickly walks over to the table.

"I'm so sorry Grant." She tries to apologize.

"It's fine Mom, I'm used to it with you."

"Grant I really am sorry, and not just for today for everyday. I'm trying to get better for you."

"Whatever."

"What did you need to talk to me about sweetie."

"I got into OU."

"Oh my God Grant that's amazing, I'm so proud of you."

"But uhm my boyfriend is going to UNC."

"Boyfriend?"

"Look mom if you have a problem with it I'll just leave right now."

"No, no Grant I don't have a problem with it i'm just surprised is all. Continue."

Kameron's Pov:

I pull into the driveway and don't see Grants car so I get a little worried, but since we got into an argument I'm sure he just went for a drive.

About 3 hours goes by of me just sitting on the couch and watching tv and still no sign of Grant. Not a text, call, nothing and i'm beginning to get worried.

Suddenly I hear a car outside and Grant comes through the door but he's talking to someone as he walks in.

"Grant where have you been I've been worried sick."

When I finally see who walked in with him I feel heartbroken.

"I was just out Kam."

"With Daniel?"

"Hey Daniel could you go home." Grant asks him.

"Uhm yeah sure, see ya."

Once he's out the door Grant turns back to me.

"Listen Kam it's not what you think, I needed to talk to someone an-"

"So you went to go talk to Daniel before me?"

"You were fucking gone, you left!"

"But I would have talked to you when I came back I just needed a bit to think everything over!"

"Well maybe I needed a bit too! And I wasn't talking with Daniel!"

"GOD GRANT I JUST CANT BELIEVE YOURE LYING TO ME! THERES NO POINT I LITERALLY SAW YOU WALK IN WITH HIM!"

"Kam-"

"SAVE IT IM DONE!"

Grant's Pov:

"SAVE IT IM DONE!" He yells at me.

I begin to tear up a bit now. Kam storms off upstairs and goes into our room. I run upstairs after him and I go into our room to see him packing a backpack.

"Kam please just fucking listen to me." I say, voice cracking a little from tears.

"I'm staying at Dominic's house tonight Grant I'll be back tomorrow." He says without looking at me and just walks out without saying another word to me.

I immediately break down in tears on the ground. I haven't felt this low in a long time, not since i've had Kam with me, but i'm scared i'm going to loose him.

I go over to my bed and look at my nightstand drawer knowing what's in there. I haven't used it in a while and I never thought I would again. I don't know why I just didn't throw it out.

I open my drawer and move some things off it that were hiding it. I take it out and just hold it in my hand and look at it for second.

I hold it to my arm where the past scars are but they're very faint. And before I know it there's blood all over my arm. I look down and start crying immediately. My hands are shaking and I can barely breath.

I don't bother to clean my arm and just get ready for bed. I take my shirt off and just throw it somewhere, I slip my pants and socks off and get into bed.

I hear a notification sound on the phone and I pick it up off the floor.

I might stay another night. I just need time to think.

I don't even reply to the text I just get it again and start again, this time on my legs.

TIME SKIP

I wake up and don't bother looking for Kam beside me because I already know the answer. Then all of the sudden when I move I feel a stinging sensation through my whole body.

Oh my God.
What have I done.

I get up from my bed and go to the bathroom and start the shower. I turn to my counter and see the Ibuprofen sitting there. I grab it and open the bottle. I pour out about 5 into my hand.
