Chapter 5 - Boyfriend

When we wake up we look at each other and I notice how adorable he looks in the morning, messy hair, half opened eyes, rosy cheeks. "Morning." He groans. "Good morning." I say, smiling. He leans over and kisses my forehead before laying back down. "Get up!" I say, throwing a pillow at him. "Noooooo." He groans. "Let me sleep, we have no school." He says taking the pillow and covering his face. "Correction we got suspended." I say taking the pillow back. He sits up and looks at me. "Fine, I'm up happy?" I nod. "Come on. What do you want to do today? We can go out somewhere, skate park, movies, the mall?"

"I don't know. I was planning on sleeping all day."

"Oh come one you have to get up at some point."

"Fine, I'll get up. Can I use some of your clothes?"

I nod. He walks over to my closet and grabs one of my AC/DC over-sized shirts that I got from the thrift store. He grabs and hoodie and a pair of jeans and walks into the restroom. I hear the shower turn on and after a few minutes he walks out. Damn he looks cute in over-sized clothing. "You're staring, why?" He asks, looking at me. "Nothing it's just, you're really cute." I say blushing. "You dork," He says, smiling. He walks over to me and tilts my head up so he can kiss me. I kiss him back and then we break apart. "Come on we can take my car to the mall." I say. He nods and we walk out of the room. When I get to the kitchen I get a message

Mom: Hey Q, I'm already at work you and Edmund can do whatever, make sure I have your location along with one of your friends. Love you

You: I will mom, love you.

"Okay, my mom is at work which means she'll be home late, we can do whatever we want. But we have to make sure she has our locations." I say, pocketing my phone. He nods. We walk out of the house, lock the door and get in my car. We start to drive and as we're driving I see Edmund looking at me. "What is it?" I ask. He shakes his head.

He leans his head on my shoulder and I smile. We pull up to the mall and we get out of the car. We walk in holding hands and we first go to the chocolate store, "Whoa, Look at this Q!" Edmund exclaims holding up a teddy bear, that is holding chocolate. I smile and take it from him. "Do you want this?" I ask he nods. "I can buy it, think of it as a gift from your so very cool boyfriend." I joke. He blushes, "So we're officially boyfriends?" He asks. "Well if you want to be." I say. "Yeah, yeah I would." He smiles. I buy the bear and we walk out of the store. We go to different stores, GAP, JcPenny, Spencer's (Get your mind outta the gutter Spencer's has some cool shirts) , Ross, etc. When we finish our shopping we go to the food court for some lunch. "So where do you want to go now?" I ask as we get in the car. "Umm, what about the bowling alley?" I nod. The bowling alley we have is also an arcade and mini golf. When we get there we go to a lane and order some drinks. Edmund looks at me and smiles. "What?" I ask also smiling. He moves closer and kisses me. I kiss him back and play with his hair. We look at each other and I look down, blushing. Once we finish our game we walk around the arcade, we play claw Machines, even though we know that we'll lose, We play all the games that are rigged but fun.

We get back into the car with a dozen prizes and we head home. We walk inside and I notice that mom still isn't home from work. We go to my room and sit down on the bed. I get a message from my mom:

Mom: Hey I'm sorry things are crazy at work I'm going to be home pretty late have you guys had a good day?

you: Yeah, we went to the arcade and to the mall.

Mom: That sounds fun love you

you: love you too

"My mom will be here late tonight, So we have a few more hours to our selves, what do you want to do?" I ask. He shrugs. "I've chosen all day, it's your turn to choose what we're doing." He says. "We can cook dinner for my mom, maybe watch a movie." I say he nods and stands up. We walk down stairs and into the kitchen. I get some food out and we start to cook and I hear a knock on the door, I walk over and answer it, it's Kim, Issac, and Jason. "Hey, what's going on?" I ask. "Oh nothing we just missed you." Jason says. "Can we come in?" Issac asks. I nod and they all walk in. "Who's at the door, Q." Edmund asks peaking from around the corner. "What in the world..." Kim mumbles, "Umm, why is he here and what is he doing wearing your hoodie?" Jason asks looking at us. "Well he stayed over last night and um, he didn't have clothing for today so I let him borrow some of mine." I say. Edmund is blushing and I can tell that they know we're lying. "Are you two dating?" Issac asks. "I- uh, no, we um..."Edmund stutters, "Yes..." He whispers. I see Jason slyly give Issac 5 dollars. "Did you bet on us?!" I ask. "It's a possibility." Kim laughs. "Wow." I scoff. "So we know your gay, Quinn, but Edmund if you don't mind me asking what is your sexuality?" Issac asks. "Nah I don't mind you asking, Pansexual and asexual." Edmund says. Issac nods. They all help us make dinner and then we all sit on the couch and watch TV. "So are you two officially boyfriends?" Kim asks. We nod. "That's great and we didn't even have to set you guys up you got together all on your own." Jason says, smiling. We talk a little more and then they leave.

Me and Edmund start to get ready for bed, brushing out teeth, washing our face, etc. We sit on my bed and start to talk. "Are you out to your dad?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "You saw how he was the other day, I don't think that he would like if I came out to him, I mean asexuality isn't that bad but he desperately wants grand kids so that's a downside." He says, I nod. "Coming out is hard I know how it is, if it makes you feel any better and if you are conformable you could come out to my mom, we could tell her that we're dating, maybe that we are I don't know, a thing. I don't really know how dating and shit works. I've never dated anyone." I say. He nods, "Yeah, we'll tell her we're dating, it's nice to know that some adult would accept me." I nod. "Yeah, if you want we can tell her tomorrow." He nods. "That would be nice." He says laying down. "Good night........love you." I say, but just after I do I regret it, "Sorry that just slipped out." I say quickly. " It's okay, I love you. too" He replies. I smile at him and lay down. I love him so much.
