My mother always talked to me and Ava about her home, Daemos. She told us that it was almost always dark but the sky was littered with beautiful, glowing stars and that no matter where on Daemos you were, you could see them in the sky. She told us about her kingdom and how beautiful it was at night: the street lamps and the gentle breeze that would sweep through the town, the scent of freshly baked goodies, and the young children playing in the streets. I always wanted to see it for myself, but I don't think I ever will.

Third Person POV:

It was a typical night on Daemos; the air had a slight chill, and the sky was its distinctive purplish-blue hue, with stars littered across its surface. The trees that covered most of the land were close-together, letting in little-to-no light on the ground, and making it almost impossible to see anything in the nearby vicinity. The lack of any wildlife seemed alarming, but on Daemos, it was the usual. The native animals know better than to stay out so late in fear of losing what little life and freedom they have. That was the case for most, but not all.

In the forest's silence came a small, luminescent orb, seemingly wandering through the dense thicket of branches and leaves. It showed no indication of knowing where it was going but it was apparent that it was going there fast, almost as if it was running away from something. As it sped through the trees, moving erratically, a tall figure emerged from behind one of the many trees, throwing a ball of light magic and making contact with the small orb's surface. Upon impact, the sphere fell to the ground with a soft *thud*. The figure walked up to it and picked it up, holding the orb in the air as if to claim a silent victory. Then, from behind a giant tree came two others, one with bright orange eyes and the other with bright turquoise eyes.

The one with the glowing orange eyes jumped off the tree's trunk, followed shortly after by the turquoise-eyed figure before they approached the tallest figure who stood in the middle.

"Drop it!" said a higher-pitched male voice.

"You heard the man, now drop it this way," said a lower-pitched male voice to the taller figure. These two voices belonged to the orange and turquoise-eyed shadows correspondingly.

The orange-eyed male glared at the other two, pointing his twin knives at them.

"It's mine! I've rightfully cornered him first."

"You wanna try me?" the turquoise-eyed male threatened, brandishing his duel sickles. The orange-eyed male glared back.

"Face me. I'm delivering it to his Highness first." The three stood around each other, the air thick with tension as they all tried to intimidate one another, knives and sickles pointed threateningly at the other. Then, a fourth set of eyes came from the shadows, glowing a dark blue, almost violet color.

"Petty, the both of you," the new voice began, "Truly it doesn't matter who delivers it... as long as it's me."

The tallest member scoffed, clearly exasperated by the actions and words of the others, before shaking his head and smirking. "Catch," he said before throwing the orb up and behind him.

"Huh-Woah," the orb fell towards Turquoise, the figure fumbling to hold onto the orb before it fell gently in their grasp. Unfortunately, before he could dance in victory, Orange came charging at him.
