The sound of the rain tapping on the window woke me. The sky outside was a milky grey that stretched for miles outside my window. Glancing at the time I noticed I still got 2 hours before my first class of the day. I live Georgia and go to Georgia State. It can be humid at times but the state is really pretty. I am a senior and will get my degree in journalism. Everyone always told me while growing up I would be good at it. I role out of bed and grabbed my shower things and head to the showers while my dorm-mate still was sound asleep. My dorm-mate happens to be my best friend Sarah. Sarah is the kind of person that loves a good party and likes to have all the guys attention. I on the other hand don't get much guys attention cause Sarah steals their attention. Sarah is also very social compared to me I do talk to people but not as much. I went into the showers and it was empty. The warm water washed over my skin. I felt relaxed which doesn't happen often because of school and work. I work at Starbucks and have to deal all the time with those snotty girls that have to have their coffee a certain way. Sometimes I just wanna say to them ," it's just a fucking cup of coffee." Trust me you do not wanna deal with those people. After a long 30 minute shower I got out and dressed in pants and a sheer black top with a silver sparkle collar. Also my black converse which I happen to love a lot. When I made it back to my room Sarah was awake but just barely. " why are you up so early," I asked her knowing that her classes don't start till 11:00. " my phone rang and woke me up," she shrugged it off and yawned. " so, tonight there is this party at Mike Lewis' house," she said.Mike is the star football player for the school. He was offered a contract with the NFL next year. " come to it with me please!" She begged. I don't like parties too much.
" what time," I asked. " 9:00." " fine I will go," I told. She jumped up and hugged me. After that she went back into her bed and fell asleep with in a minute because the time was 7:00 am. Wishing I could have gone back to sleep,I grabbed my tan shoulder bag with my school things and left. I didn't have very far to walk and the weather was pleasant outside since summer was coming soon. Summer here was quite pleasant besides the humidity that filled the air. Georgia's humidity is usually about 85%. I soon arrived at my class which was creative writing. It was one of my favorite classes that I had besides my main journalism class. " today you guys have a final for your project due in 6 weeks," Professor Little told us ," your project is to write a story, a real event that has happened in your life a lesson you have learned from what has happened." I sat there thinking about what I could write about , but nothing came to mind and usually it comes quickly. I sat stumped about what I'm going to do. " I expect the paper to show lots of depth into how you have grow from that experience," professor Little continued. She talked some more and gave us the rest of the time to brainstorm ideas. My paper was left blank no words seemed to flow out. By the time I knew it class ended. I had one more class to go to which was literature. I am a book nerd you can say. I've read everything from Shakespeare to John Green books. I never skip out on a chance to read. After another hour and half class I had to go to work. Starbucks is an ok job, I deal with lots of moody people that order foofy drinks with extra stuff how they specifically want it. I do like the fact though how I get free coffee when I want. I arrived early before my shift started. " hi," Mary ( the boss) said as I walked in the shop. " hello," I said smiling. " today I need you to work till 9:00 tonight," she told. I just nodded my head as I began to help the line of costumers. Our days are always busy due to the fact everyone loves Starbucks. Also being so close to the campus all the college students come in all the time. The day continued to stretch on. Then my phone buzzed in my pocket. " hey Mary ?" I asked. " yes," she replied. " may I go on my break now," I inquired because I could tell the rush was over. "Yes go ahead."
I walked outside and sat down on a bench while checking my blue iPhone. Blue is my favorite color hence the color of my phone. The text was from
Sarah.

Haha smart ass

Sarah and I joke around like that all the time. I can be a smart ass though. My phone time showed 4:00 meaning my break was over. My break felt so incredibly short the time passed quickly. Soon another rush of people came in. We call it the 5:00 rush because most people after work come to Starbucks. The rush usually last for about an hour each day. Hours later closing time came. The shop was almost completely empty besides the last costumers. The last person left with their carmel macchiato and we closed up the shop. Mary locked up the glass door while I wiped down the granite counters. My phone buzzed letting me know that Sarah was probably waiting outside. I grabbed my bag from the back room. " goodnight Mary!" I called out as I headed out the door. " goodnight!" I got into Sarah's grey Toyota Camry slamming the door shut. " your late," Sarah said. " two minutes late," I said. Sarah hates when your late even by like a few minutes. I on the other hand do not care that much of a person is late. We made our way to the location of the party at 2514 N Ameida Dr. The ride was only like 30 minutes but the location was beautiful. The house was located on the out skirts of town and on an acre of land. It was a two story house with a giant ice front porch. When we arrived the thumping of the music could be heard from inside the little grey Camry. The song playing you could hear was Turn Down For What. you could tell this was a huge party. Sarah grinned from ear to ear as we parked. Lots of people were there so parking was hard to get up close. That means we had to walk to get to the house. I didn't mind though the nights cool breeze was gorgeous anyways. Sarah took my hand as we got closer and pulled my hand excitedly. " let's go," she said as she dragged me up the front steps and through the stained glass front door.
