A long ass time ago, I remember sitting down on my porch, waiting for my mother to finish dinner. However I was never allowed to go outside, because I apparently was born sick and there was no doctor around who knew how to cure it or what exactly it is. "Rui get back inside it's cold out here!" My mother yelled as she picked me up, placing me on the ground near the kitchen. Everyone else I knew could go outside but because of me being sick, I have to stay I side the house at all time San dit does get quite lonely over there inside all day.

One day during nightime however, I decided to sneak out of the house and head outside, I could hardly walk on my own, it was also hard the breath sometimes, but even if I may as well die soon, I rather die knowing I was outside on my own. Eventually I did find it relaxing outside and there were many butterfly's and birds outside. It was quite beautiful before I heard something or someone. I was a bit scared but I didn't want to leave just yet. Knowing if I was about to be killed I wouldn't be able to run that fast, I'm not sure if I could run at all...I never tried doing it.

I just thought of the neighbor kids running, how they did it, it's like walking but your going faster... way faster. I tried doing it and almost tripped but kept running, I was amazed on how I am keeping up, it may be hard due to my difficulty of breathing but I think it means I could help around so much more then just sit in my room all day. When I made it back home, my mom was there waiting for me and dropped a bowl of water in fear. "Mom did you see that? I ran! I was able to go out on my own! I can help around the house more!" Her eyes seem widen and she was avoiding eye contact.

"Mom what's wrong? Are you mad at me?" I asked in a fragile voice, that was until I saw her grab me and shoved me inside and when I turned to her, I saw my first demon. I was terrified and screamed, leading the neighbors to come outside and scream as well. I ran to go hide before anyone else along with other people who knew my family and they tried to help me, knowing I was sick. I didn't want their pity or help, I just ran and hid by myself. I heard the loud screams and the sound of humans getting slaughtered and then the more high pitch screams from the room next to me. I was scared, knowing I was probably next.

The demon did seem to left, and I didn't feel a presence, as if everyone around is gone now. I stood up and went back to the room I last saw my parents and turned around, peeking at the room 2 doors away, to see the painful mess of blood around the humans trying to help me. I screamed out in pain and wrapped myself around my mother. I knew I was the one to blame for my family's and others death, I knew if I didn't go outside, the demon wouldn't follow me back home, and everyone would still be here. But either if the demon followed me or not, I'm sure it would found us anyways and I would most likely be dead as well.

I cried loudly, didn't care if the demon would come back, if anything I would rather have the demon kill me. I didn't know hoe to stop crying at that moment, I grabbed my father's body, dragging it as far as I could, next to mother, wrapped myself between them, and slowly falling asleep. When I woke up,I was not in my house, I was not in my home, I was in a different place..I rubbed my eyes and realized I was in new clothing. Was this a dream? I slapped myself and realize it was not a dream but reality, I gasp as I a saw male walk in and I fell out of bed.
