"I'm free! ich bin endlich frei!" Gilbert through the to himself as he drove home from a grad party at his friend Antonio's house. His senior year, gone and done with. He didn't have to deal with all the school. The homework the haters. None of it, he was free from it all. And damn did he feel alive. He pulled into the driveway of his apartment and parked in his usual spot. He had just recently moved in there with his younger brother Ludwig. He got out of the car, squinting in the dark after his car lights shut off. He shut the door and opened the glass door entrance. He walked up the first set of stairs and turned to go up to the other, but stumbled back a few steps after bumping into someone.
"Oh! Sorry... I didn't see you there sir. I guess I should be more careful, eh?" A quiet voice apologized. Gilbert looked up at the other man. He was a two-toned blonde, going from lighter to darker, it was wavy and reached past his jawline, a curl that seemed to hang in front of his face. He was wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt, and dark jeans. He seemed to be taller than Gilbert, but slouched when he stood. Gilbert had to admit, he was cute as hell. He found himself grin like an idiot and put his hands up.
"Ja, Don't worry about it. I wasn't looking where I was going. I should have listen for footsteps." He shrugged and put his hands in his pockets. "I don't remember seeing you? Did you just move in?"
"Mhm. Earlier today. Room B4." He said.
"Your two doors down from me! B2! Well I know if I'll ever need a cup of sugar I'll know where to go." He laughed. The other man laughed softly as well. He looked at a clock on the wall just past Gilbert. He froze and looked a bit frightened.
"I.. Um. Need to go, eh. Maybe I'll see you around or something..." Before Gilbert could even respond he quickly walked away, and put the door. Gilbert blinked and got curious on why he was in such a hurry at this late? He brushed it off and decided it wasn't any of his business. He ran up the second flight of stairs and over to his apartment, the door was unlocked and he walked right in.
"Welcome home Gilbert!!" A smaller man that definitely wasn't his brother exclaimed, startling Gilbert rough to almost knock him off his feet. He sighed.
"verdammt feliciano you can't be doing that!" He rolled his eyes and gave the Italian a small smile.
"Sorry... Did you have fun??" He asked, bouncing like an exited puppy.
"Ja. It was great. Where's Luddy-cakes?"
"He's in the shower!"
"I'll make sure to run all the water then." He laughed.
"Don't Gilbert.... Or I'll tell him to pour ice on you when your in the shower!~" Gilbert gave him a surprised and a little horrified look.
"Wow. Uh. How about no."
"My point exactly!" He jogged over to the couch and jumped over it, laying on it. Most Likely waiting for Ludwig. Feliciano lived across the parking lot in the other apartment buildings. And him being here this late only meant one thing. Gilbert pushed those thoughts out of his head. Instead he thought about the man he had just met in the hall, then he realized he didn't even catch his name. He silently cursed himself for that. He sighed and decided and head to his room. It has been a long day and he should probably get some rest.
