CATCHING UP !
you sit at the counter tossing around your empty drink. to be honest you don't know why you came today, no one else was here with you this time. it was a little dangerous but you guess that didn't really matter if you got to meet a certain someone.
"hottie at 10 o'clock," koushi says as he snatches your drink and refills it before sliding it back to you.
"is that my left or your left?" you question confused, quickly fixing your hair slightly so that you can subtly check behind you.
"my left, and don't look now, he's coming towards you." koushi says before going to walk away.
"frick, my right is my bad side." i mutter as koushi send me a wink, laughing and says "call me if you need anything."
said hottie sits in the chair next to you. "can i buy you a drink?" a familiar voice says.
you whip your head so fast you might get whiplash. "suna?"
"still as beautiful as i remember." he smirks leaning onto the palm of his hand as he rests his elbow onto the table.
"what are you doing here?" you ask completely shocked that you actually ran into him.
"hoping to bump into you actually," he smiles. it's nice hearing that from him. "you alone?" he asks looking around for someone that might be with me.
"yeah, alone for tonight." i comment, breath taken by how pretty he actually is.
"so, how have you been?" he questions with genuine interest in his eyes.
terrible without you. "pretty good, how about you?"
"meh, i've been better." he shrugs.
"you got a girlfriend now or what?" you don't like beating around the bush. it was obvious that you were still interested in rin so why be secretive about it?
"nah, not since you." he replies smoothly, as if knowing you would as that. "you got a boyfriend?" he asks almost instantly after.
"not at the moment, no." you say sipping your drink and glancing up at him from over the rim of your cup.
a sweet silence flows between the two of you. you break it with an honest comment "i missed you."
the tip of his lip lifts slightly at this. "i missed you too."
the thing about you and suna was that you guys weren't just girlfriend and boyfriend, you were best friends. losing a best friend and a boyfriend all at once was hard. for the both of you. the 'i missed you' comment was for him as your best friend.
"i miss us." you mutter under your breath, just loud enough for him to hear.
a slight silent passes before he follows with "i miss your lips."
