Hurricane

It was a Friday, Dee and Nolan are sitting together in 2rd period, Geology 11. Dee is stressed about the hurricane that's supposed to hit over the weekend while Nolan seems very relaxed, Nolan's lived in this town on the ocean since he could remember, so it wasn't too out of the ordinary for a hurricane to blow through.

"Whatcha so stressed about, Dee? Can't keep up with what Mr. Rock man is on about? Ahaha!" Nolan joked with Dee in an attempt to calm Dee down a bit.

Dee responded with silence, not understanding how Nolan could possibly be joking about a hurricane so easily, especially after the stories he was told about Nolan and hurricanes.

"Don't cry buddy... everything's gonna be all good man...if anything happens I live just across the street, okay..?" Nolan attempts to be more sympathetic with Dee after he only responded to his joke with silence.

Dee gives Nolan a slightly offended look, "I am not going to cry."

Nolan snorts a little, "sure buddy, whatever helps you make it through the day." Nolan then lays his head on the desk, looking like he could fall asleep.

Dee looks like he wants to say something but hesitates a bit so Nolan gives him a questioning look to encourage him to speak.

"Um...so..." Dee speaks nervously as he knows he's about to bring up a touchy topic for Nolan, "so...hurricanes...why are you calm this time..? You said your house has flooded and almost floated away before...so why are you calm this time..?" Dee gives Nolan a nervous look waiting for a response.

Nolan glares at Dee and turns away from him, closing his eyes and not responding.

Dee gets the message that he was pushing it with the topic and doesn't ask anymore questions about it.

The class ends and lunch begins.

Nolan collects his stuff with a slightly irritated look on his face. Dee notices this and decides to appologize for overstepping earlier.

"Hey...Nolan...I'm sorry for bringing that up earlier...I shouldn't have"

Nolan just sighs and makes a movement with his head to signal Dee to follow him.

Dee follows Nolan with a confused look and asks, "where are we going..?"

"D&D" Nolan responds shortly.

"You like D&D?" Dee snickers a bit casing Nolan to glare at him. Dee quickly shuts his mouth and just continues to follow Nolan to D&D.

Nolan walks into Mr. A's room for D&D. Nolan walks over to Mr. A, Dee close behind. Nolan gives Mr. A his character sheet and starts asking questions, this must be his first time playing it.

Mr. A calls a boy named Brody over to help Nolan with his character.

Brody takes Nolan over to a small group of desks and sits down, Nolan sits beside him and looks at him. Brody pulls out a book and starts helping Nolan with his character, Brody gets very close to Nolan, Dee makes a jealous face in response.

Unfortunately for Dee Mr. A noticed this weird look and pointed it out to Dee, making Dee very flustered.

Mr. A pulls Dee out into the hallway and starts to talk to Dee about Nolan.

"Dee, I saw that look, if you like him you might wanna tell him quick, I've seen how he is with other people that have liked him and if they wait too long he'll move on. I'm sure you know that by now, but if he likes you, he's not gonna tell you, so just give it a shot, man." Mr. A says, trying to give Dee a pep talk.
