Sooyoung

When I was young, I thought being the inheritor of my grandfather's hospital was an easy task. I thought it is only about signing papers with my printed name on it and smiling for the newspapers. No wonder my older sister refused to manage it.

I sighed as I put the pen down. I wonder what happened after I left Hyoyeon last week. Hopefully, playing cupid to them worked. It stresses me seeing Hyoyeon uncomfortable when Lay is around, hindi naman mahiyain 'yan eh.

"Ms. Choi?" I heard my grandfather's secretary ask as she knocked on the door. "Come in," I straightened my back, waiting for her to enter the room.

"Your grandfather wants me to give you this," she said as she approached my table. I wonder what it is this time that he wants me to do.

The secretary placed a small envelope in front of me. "He left this for you before going straight to Indonesia for vacation,"

I reached for it and opened it without any second thoughts. Inside is a plane ticket, a key card, and a small note with an address in it.

"Where is he exactly in Indonesia?" I asked, trying to keep myself calm. He has done this so many times that it's becoming so annoying. Sending me to different countries may sound fun, but observing on their healthcare system isn't.

The last time I went to Japan, I almost had a palm surgery because my grandfather wants to know how it's performed. One time he also sent me to Pakistan, even when he knew that there was a war going on between Pakistan and India.

"He told me not to tell you where he is," she answered in monotone. I sighed, I know I won't get anything from her. I just tried my luck, akala ko after a few years of working with her, she'll favor me.

"Okay, so I go straight to Beijing after having snacks," I clasped my hands as I stood up. I grabbed a fistful of my hair when I heard the sound of the door closing. Nakakainis, now I understand why my sister quit the job.

I have to retrieve my sanity back when I heard my phone rang.

"I told you, we don't offer gluta here in the hospital," I greeted a second after answering Yuri's call.

"I told you being in the medical field doesn't suit you,"

"I know, but I must say the color of the soot suits you," I laughed, proud at the wordplay I just made.

"Hoy! Sumusobra ka na ha! Anyway, I called to ask if you're available this Friday,"

"I'm sorry, but I'm turning you down this instant. Lalaki kasi ang hanap ko Yul," I answered and heard a laughing voice over the phone. So she's with Yoona, good thing that she's done moping.

"You already look like one, bakit ka pa maghahanap? Tsaka I am inviting you for a double-blind date, pero sige if you don't want to, Yoona can take over your place,"
