A lot has happened in half a decade, and things for Girls' Generation members aren't an exception.
Taeyeon, the leader of the group found her sanctuary in a small villa in the heart of Seoul. She's still the lazy Taeyeon everyone knew, but those five years changed her. She went through a lot, her break up with an EXO member was a lot to take in after Jessica left the group. It was like she entered hell again.
Now that she's gotten over the past, she engages herself in things that she didn't have time to do when she was still young, and that is to have fun without anyone telling her what to do. On days like this, she likes to go out in a disguise and do the things normal people do, but at times like this, the thought of what the others are doing also crosses her mind. Are they doing well after all these years?
Jessica couldn't forget how sullen the other members' faces were when the management announced that she will be leaving the group.
It wasn't her choice in fact, the management forced her to do so as she was told to choose between her growing clothing brand and her career as a singer. The girls are very important to her, they occupy such a huge space in her heart but her passion is being stripped away from her, and at that very moment she knew she's carrying a child.
Blake was not a mistake, he's a blessing from above that Jessica couldn't stop thanking God for giving him to her. Five years had past and both Blake and the company are doing well. Jessica can now call herself a successful independent woman, not only for making her business grow but also for raising Blake without the help of his father thanks to her family and Sunny.
Sunny knew what was going on from the very start. Being the niece of the CEO helped a lot for her to know the real reason why Jessica left their group, but it was not her story to tell so she kept it to herself. All these years she spent her life tracking how the other members are doing and she's relieved to see all of them happy.
When she's bored, she visits her nephew, Blake. Considering that Jessica is like a sister like all the members are, she spends her time in Jessica's mansion in Beverly Hills and tirelessly convinces Jessica to tell the other girls about her son, with Jessica's answer still the same, "the right time hasn't come yet".
Tiffany still carries the sadness she felt when Jessica left their group. Her best friend left the group without telling her the real reason why. She tried to contact her, but she just pushes her away. She was reaching out for years, but Jessica decided to build an iron wall between them and she can't help but slowly accept her defeat.
After those years, she finds comfort in writing songs. Expressing what is on her mind was a great feeling. She can't help but pity her old self for not being able to do so.
The freedom was a comforting feeling for her, she can do whatever she wants now. She's free to date anyone, but after her secret relationship with a former EXO member, she doesn't want to try again. The feeling of being left hanging was traumatizing, after her best friend, Luhan did it again, and she doesn't want to feel that way anymore.
Hyoyeon is happy with the way her life turned out during the past years. A year after their disbandment, she started a small dance studio in Japan which became successful in just a few weeks after opening. Dancing was a part of her and a memory that is strongly connected to the girls, her sisters.
She's still the reckless, outgoing type but the group's disbandment took its toll on her, sometimes she finds herself crying over the little things. In her free time, she goes to therapies to help her overcome the sadness she feels deep within. One thing she regrets the most after the group's disbandment is not telling others how she loves them so much.
Her psychologist tells her to write letters to the people she has a lot of things to say and she follows it by heart. A few times, she finds herself writing for her long time crush on how she regrets not telling him about her feelings since he was still a trainee.
Sooyoung can finally say that she has made her family proud. After the group's disbandment and her break up with her long time boyfriend, she focused herself on managing the hospital her family owns. She even took a medical course just to keep herself focused on other things. She earned a few good friends after studying in Canada, but none of them can replace the eight girls in her heart.
She misses them so much but she has no idea how she can get in touch with them. After their dreaded day, the girls decided to delete all their socials and changed their numbers, keeping their promise to each other, that they will try to live their lives on their own. And Sooyoung is afraid that she's the only one that can't do it.
Yuri has been living her life to the fullest. In the morning, she works as a yoga instructor in the park of her neighborhood for free. She likes to do it thinking that it will not only improve her health, but also the health of those neighbors who attends the session.
At night she lives her long time dream, to be a DJ. It was brought to life when a producer contacted her if she would like to fill in the place of the regular DJ in a certain club, which she gladly said yes to.
She has seen a lot of idols come in the club, including her longest fling of all time, Kim Jongin from EXO.
Yoona traveled a lot in those five years. She wanted to travel the whole world without any obligations. Tours were fun because she can be with her sisters, but she can't really be her true self with all the cameras surrounding them.
By traveling, she seems to get to know herself even more. It turns out the Yoona everyone knew was a lot different from the Yoona she really is. Her preferences from food, clothes, and even men were not the same anymore. Back then she was interested in men a few years older than him, but now, she's surprised that she's growing fond of those a few years younger than her.
She used traveling to other places as an escape from reality. The reality that their group has crumbled down and her sisters are now living their lives on their own.
Seohyun, the youngest among the nine of them changed the most. During the past few years, she has learned a lot, especially in ways on how to dodge her mother from setting her up on blind dates.
To distract herself from feeling sad after their disbandment, she kept herself busy by being a preschool teacher. She loved it most when the little kids are very eager to learn. It reminded her of how she was back then, willing to give her all in every practice they had as trainees.
She misses them a lot, and she hopes to see them again soon.
A/N: The disbandment occured months after Jessica's departure. Also, iniba ko 'yung plot. Hindi ko kinaya ang kajejehan ko dati lol. Yun lang!
