In a hole in the ground lived a small hobbit family. Now this hole wasn't a dark, worm infested, nasty smelling hole; it was a comfortable, warm, well-furnished hobbit hole with a pantry of plenty. Now Belladonna was beautiful by hobbit standards so its no wonder  why the respectable Bungo Baggins was quick to court her and know they have adorable Bilbo.

Once Bilbo was old enough to walk, he was easily seen as half a Took. As a young lad Bilbo would disappear for hours on "adventures" somewhat like the ones Belladonna read to him about. Bungo as much as he disapproved of these "adventures" he didn't have the heart to tell Bilbo to stop. So instead he wrote it of as childish behavior. However at this moment in time the beautiful, free-spirited, hobbit that is Belladonna was chasing a screaming toddler Bilbo Baggins.

But the afternoon Bilbo was, caught by neighbors, throwing rocks and pebbles at birds, he was given a stern talking to. Belladonna made sure as punishment he couldn't have desserts for a week, Bungo thought that was only fair as well as the stern talking to he gave to the young hobbit.

From then on Bilbo stayed by Belladonna's side, whether it be gardening, cooking, cleaning and or his favorite hobby of all reading. Belladonna taught him to read from an early age, whether it be a history book or possibly a tale about crazy wizards. His favorite tale lay forgotten by the time he became an adult in Hobbit  standards; was the tale of Smaug. The frightening dragon that took the homes of many used to terrify Bilbo but in a way he was fascinated with. In fact Bilbo was fascinated with the whole history of Erebor and Smaug. But that my friends is a story for another day.
