Bilba has grown up the unwanted granddaughter of the Thain of the Kingdom of Shire but, as she rarely visits the palace, the relationship holds little meaning to her. Instead she focuses on her second year of college, her ballet career and her slowly burgeoning romance with Bofur, a crew member with her ballet company. The same day Bilba is set to preform on stage for the first time with her company, the kingdom of Shire is anticipating another event. That very evening will oversee the political, arranged marriage between Thorin Durin, Crown Prince of Erebor, and an unnamed Princess of Shire (so unnamed because Bilba's grandfather is a paranoid bastard). Bilba doesn't care about any of this, she hasn't been invited and has no interest in other countries, politics or other such machinations. Just before she's set to preform, however, Bilba suddenly finds herself dragged from the theater and taken to appear before her grandfather at the palace. There she is informed she WILL be participating in the wedding after all. As the bride. Whether she likes it or not.

[Bagginshield Modern!Au] After watching his life and career as a lawyer in Chicago crumble, Bilbo Baggins decides to return to Omaha to his parents, with many regrets and zero ideas about what to do with himself now that he must start over. But a setback forces him to stop in the small, quiet town of Hobbiton, Iowa, where he ends up crossing paths with Sheriff Thorin Oakenshield. Taciturn, charming, and decidedly out of his depth. Amidst roosters with hidden talents, half-deaf clerks, and the best coffee you will ever taste, Bilbo discovers that it's never too late to pursue what makes you happy. And that, sometimes, you have to rely on a broken sat-nav to find yourself. A bittersweet comedy about what's left when all seems lost and about the kind of love that comes when you weren't looking for it.

This is set a bit after the Battle Of The Five Armies. Few things to get out of the way- 1- Thorin Lives because I say so. 2- Bilbo took the wound meant for Thorin but lives 3- Fíli and Kíli live as well bc I could never 4- The Company is basically one big ass family now bc Bilbo is a sassy sweetheart who unknowingly stole their hearts in different ways 5- Bilbo has different types of friendships with each of the Dwarves. For Example Dori, Nori, and Ori basically adopted Bilbo as a brother. He will be the younger for Dori, more like a twinish bit with Nori, and older for Ori 6- Ori is baby. Wanna know who was Baby in the company? Look up Ori. Tell me that isn't baby. 7- Dwalin does not have a stick up his ass because he will support his brother in all but blood Thorin. Even if he thinks his brother's taste is.....odd. THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING SHIPS: Thorin X Bilbo Dwalin X Ori (Saw it once and it's too god damn cute) Kíli and Tauriel

Modern AU Crack/Humor/Fluff - Bilba and Thorin get into a fight and, as they are both prideful and stubborn, neither one can quite bring themselves to simply admit to their part and apologize. Bilba finally has enough of the stalemate and decides the most brilliant and epic solution ever would be to kidnap Thorin and lock him in the basement until he gives in, admits it was all his fault and begs for her forgiveness . It's possible she might have been a WEE bit drunk when she came up with, and executed, this plan. Of course now that she's done it she can't back down. That would be like admitting Thorin was right...somehow. She's not quite as firm on that point but what IS clear is Thorin looks far to smug for a kidnap victim which means she is certainly not admitting her plan was not the most epic and well thought out plan in the history of epic and well thought out plans. Even when she realizes Frerin might have been a witness meaning she has to kidnap him too...and Dwalin shows up acting all suspicious so of COURSE she has to kidnap him........ There just MAY have been one...or two TINY flaws in her plan after all but that doesn't mean it wasn't still epic! Thorin will rue the day he crossed her!

Bilbo is small, but he feels much more than he lets on. Hiding behind a respectful nod and a blinding smile he thinks he can manage. For as long as he needs to, he can hide behind his smile. He'll protect his friends from the venom brewing within his mind and his heart - why? Because he's Bilbo Baggins of course. And Bagginses are above all else, respectable.

I'm going to try to update this daily. It isn't going to happen, I'm still recovering, but I'm getting better and better, but I'm going to try. Once I get back the skill of writing with these stories, then I'm going to go back to wishing stones. Headcannons (since they are human in most of the stories: - Each have about a foot added on to their height, Bilbo being 5'1 Thorin being 6'2 in most stories - Thorin plays the harp and guitar, Bilbo occasionally plays the piano. - Bilbo speak French, especially when scared, annoyed, or thinking to herself. Thorin speaks Khuzdul (BECAUSE I LOVE KHUZDUL.) and occasionally French - Kíli and Fíli will most likely still be guys in every story, same with all other characters if they are mentioned. - Thorin is a huge softie around Kíli, Fíli, and Bilbo, occasionally Dís too, so her personality will be a bit different sometimes. - The most common ages in the stories are about 21-29 for Bilbo and 23-31 for Thorin (Thorin will always be a bit older at least) Kíli is about 8-10 and Fíli is about 9-14. This might change, it will say so in the beginning of the story if it does.

After the Botfa ended, Bilbo thought Thorin was dead. How could he not, after being there for Thorin during his final moments and watching him die. The grief of losing three of his dearest friends, was too much for him to bear and he left Erebor, with only the memory of the one he held so dearly to him, and the treasures he found during his journey, so long away from home. He goes home with the thought that he would never see Thorin again and that he would have to bear his sadness alone. Not even a picture of Thorin, only the songs that would be sung forever. There was no king under the mountain anymore, not for him. Even the sons of his sister had died during the final fight and no heir was there to reclaim the throne, so the throne was gifted to lord Daín, former king of the Iron hills. After a few long weeks, he finally came back to his home, once familiar but now nothing but a vague memory long ago in his mind. At first he didn't have time to think about the company and all his adventures, too busy with buying his own housewares back, and making everyone aware that he was certainly not dead. Yet at night, when it was quiet, and he was all alone, the thoughts came back. And no matter how much he tried to get them away, they always came back, some worse than others. One day, when he was blowing his pipe out, in the front yard which he adored so much, he had to rush inside for the toilet. After a quick visit to Bree's local med stop, he found out something he never thought was even possible. Or should say; it was rather unexpected

He spent most days watching the sky, or curled up in his armchair by the fireplace. He never lit the wood though. The fire reminded him too much of Smaug, the way the vast dragon had scorched and burned, flames licking through Laketown and Erebor. So the branches turned dusty as the days drew on, night to day and day to night, a constant cycle of memories.

Getting drunk is never a good idea. Especially around elves and dwarfs (not to mention when you're madly infatuated with the leader of said dwarfs). And getting drunk for the first time? Utter stupidity. So, being a sensible and altogether rather respectable hobbit, Bilbo had no idea how he had managed to land himself in his current predicament. [Bagginshield Oneshot]

I asked Persephone, "How could you grow to love him? He took you from flowers to a kingdom where not a single living thing can grow." Persephone smiled, "My darling, every flower on your earth withers. What Hades gave me was a crown made for the immortal flowers in my bones." - Nikita Gill --- "What do you mean, my friend?" There is a line of thought that surfaces in Gandalf's mind, but he drowns it before it can take root. Surely not. But Bilbo's chuckle sets him on edge. The small, gentle god of harvest, nature, and flowers sits up straighter, and in his crown of flowers there is a wire of strong metal, his cloak is suddenly not colorful anymore but the deepest black and he is terrifying, horrific, powerful - "I married Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the World."

**THE HOBBIT/SHERLOCK CROSSOVER AU** Author: authoressjean Summary: Sebastian Moran can't pull the trigger on John Watson to save his hide, and what the hell is it with the doctor, anyway? Then Gandalf shows up, a meddlesome wizard, reminds him not too gently of his past life as Thorin Oakenshield, leader of a company that had once included a small hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, one that looked decidedly like John Watson. It would be the perfect chance to make things right with Bilbo the way he hadn't been able to before he died, and that's when Gandalf tells him John doesn't remember his past life as Bilbo and to leave him alone. Right. Like that's going to happen. ⛔NOTE: I am not the writer of this story. Full credit goes to the given author at the top.
