Danny popped to paracetamol and downed a pint of water as he stood in the studio.

"You look like shit Mush" Harry commented as he twirled his drumsticks in his hand.

"I feel it" he croaked.

"Heavy one?" Tom chimed in

"Obviously!" Dougie laughed. Danny punched his arm playfully.

"I saw Em earlier, she came by the house" He replied taking another gulp of water.

"I bet she gave you what for" Tom laughed. Danny shrugged his shoulders.

"Not really" he replied "Shall we get some work done?" He said walking over to his guitar. The boys took that as conversation over and did the same.

"That's great lads!" Their manager Fletch commented through the speakers. "Let's leave that there for now"

"It's sounding like our best album yet!" Tom was excited with the new album coming up, along with a sell-out tour. They were weeks away from dropping their first new single.

"The ideas are flowing!" Dougie commented. Finding his voice had never been easy for the youngest band member, but ever since he had come clean to his bandmates about his issues, and a couple of stints in rehab, he was finally finding his feet and his place.

"I agree!" Fletch chimed. "The YouTube live sessions seem to be doing really well too and I think it'll give you some much needed exposure. I want a list of ideals by tomorrow for some social media ideas. Have a nice evening boys"

Back at his house, Danny threw down his keys and phone onto the kitchen side. He went to the fridge and grabbed a beer. It fizzed as he took the cap off. He took a large swig.

"Drinking again?" the familiar voice. Emily. Again.

"Twice in one day, I am honoured" he rolled his eyes.

"Don't be a twat" she said. He could tell she had been crying.

"Are you okay?" he asked. She looked upset and angry all at the same time.

"You don't remember what today is do you?" she asked him, the tears filling in her eyes. He cocked his head to one side in a confused site. She sighed heavily, she couldn't be bothered to argue. Maybe it wasn't a big deal to him that today was the due date of their baby, their once longed for baby. But to her, it was and today was painful. "Forget it, I'm fine" she muttered. "I just came to say, I've signed the house papers, the solicitor will send them to yours by the end of the week, then...once all that's sorted, it's all yours"

She took her keys out of her pocket and removed a group of keys from the key chain and handed them to him. "No time like the present, I guess these are yours now". Danny took them, a wave of sadness overwhelmed him.

"So...this is it?" he asked, voice croaking.

"Seems it..."

"How did we get here?" he asked, a little more silent than usual as he choked back the tears.

"Life Danny" she said, tears silently falling down her face. "It's just like that sometimes" She walked over to him and wiped a tear away from him eye. "Good luck Danny" She placed a kiss on his cheek before walking out the door, not turning back once.

Once she had left, Danny collapsed against the cupboard doors and fell to the ground sobbing. He reached into his wallet and pulled out a crumpled ultrasound picture. He stroked it softly as he cried.

Flashback

Emily lay on the examination bed, Danny cupped her hand in his and he kissed them intently. The sonographer walked in and smiled at them both.

"Right..are we ready to see Baby!" she said with a cheerful tone. Both of them nodded and smiled.

"So, it's still very early, but the measurements, along with your dates, everything seems to be perfect. I would estimate you to be 9 weeks" she explained. Emily and Danny were memorised by the small blob on the screen, their blob. Danny wiped away a tear as the doctor talked them through what everything was. Emily was a emotional mess, sobbing with happy tears.

"Wait here just for a moment and I'll go grab your pictures"

"They're perfect" Emily said as he held the picture in her hand.

"They certainly are" Danny beamed. He placed a copy of the picture on the fridge, proudly displaying. "When can we tell the guys?" He placed a hand loving on her stomach.

"Not yet" she replied "Let's get to the 12 week mark first". Danny pouted, Emily laughed. "We haven't even told our family yet!"

"I know, but I'm so excited" That was one of the things Emily loved about Danny, his hyperactive nature. It was what made him so special to her. He wrapped his arms around her, delicately kissing the tip of her nose.

"I love you"

"I love you two Mr Jones"
