THE VAMPIRE WAS DEEPLY DISTURBED by his vision.
It had felt so real, so incredibly heartbreaking that just the thought of the unbearable grief scared him.
A quiet scuffling drew his attention, his eyes flicking upwards to see 'Seon' scampering up to their cell.
Her legs were trembling violently and dried tears lined her soft features. She fumbled with the key to the door, and quietly as could manage, swung it open.
The others rose from their sleep as Seon tiptoed over to Sunghoon and began removing the heavy restraints from his wrists and ankles.
He set them down tentatively on the floor as not to make a sound that may draw the attention of unwanted people.
Seon worked her way down the line, freeing them one by one. They mimicked Sunghoon's careful actions, not allowing anything louder than a clank to occur.
When she reached Sunoo, he studied her face, noting the tear stains.
"Seon," He whispered to her as she unlocked his shackles. She glanced up at him with question written across her face. "What did he do to you?"
Her movements faltered, shame overtaking her features. Again, no words left her lips but her reaction was explanation enough.
Sunoo's lips pressed together into a thin line, paling as the blood retracted. He wished to say something, anything, but he could not form the words to express himself.
Seon finished releasing the final of them, holding one of her slim fingers up to her lips in a gesture of shushing. She pointed upwards, then touched her ear.
Stay quiet, those above us might hear you.
She then motioned for the seven to follow her out of the cell, but Heeseung stopped her.
"Seon. Are you unable to speak?" He inquired softly, praying that to her, it was not a sensitive topic.
Seon stared at him, such sorrow flooding her gaze. She reached up and traced the scars on her throat, opening and closing her mouth as nothing but wispy breath was heard.
