TRAILING BEHIND THE ODD GROUP of humans, the vampires threw cautious glances around at one another. There was something in the air that didn't sit right with them.
Seonhwa took notice of the wispy shadows that glided across the dusty dirt littering the ground at their feet.
She shot a look at the youngest brother at her side, yet his eyes remained their natural shade of dark brown. He must have felt her gaze as his eyes slid over to her and a small smile tugged at his lips.
At her other side, an icy breeze radiated from Sunghoon's body. The slightest glint of blue sparkled deep in his eyes, barely visible unless one was observing him closely.
In front of them, Sunoo's steps were light, the soles of his feet just lightly brushing against the dirt before his next step crossed over the previous.

Lanterns hung from iron hooks nailed into the walls of the buildings, giving off a warm yet dim glow in the darkness.
The lanterns lit their way as they went, further and further into the town. The stench of humans grew stronger still as the walls closed in on them.
