Ch 1

I grumbled, this is agony. There was this huge soreness in my back that i couldn't get rid of. I can't move my hand it's like i was in a shackle , it's bloody despairing, i loathed this feeling of being restrained.

With a 'tch' i forcibly opened my eyes and what a shock this situation had greeted me. My hands are tied with a rope, so tightly it hurts. There was a colar wrapped around my neck and the symbol of a fox was embedded in it.

My eyes widened in bewildered, my hands are smaller compared to before, no it's like the hands of a child not more than five years old. Searching for some answers in the hopeless situation I'm in , i look around the room aimlessly.

As expected, this place is completely unfamiliar to me. I was inside a cage with multiple children running around. They are in the same state as me , tied with a rope and a collar that restrains their movements. But strangely it is they are all laughing.

They also had uncommon traits, their hair and eyes are different colors, one where it's completely rare in my country to have. are they foreigners?

A child with green eyes ran towards me carrying a mouldy bread, he looked extremely famished and thin. He handed it over to me with his little hands, instinctively i accepted it and his expression was full of delight.

"Eat! Eat! They are coming you must not starve yourself. "

What is this? His language, it was unfamiliar, I've never heard of it before and yet i completely understand what he is trying to say.

Before i couldn't even blink the child once again run off, carefully sitting in the opposite wooden bench. Making himself comfortable.

I sighed heavily, although this situation is completely unfamiliar I'm not the type to take food from some unknown child, i stood up from my seat, the heavy colar clinking and making a sound as I walked on my feet.

Spitting the bread in half I handed it over to him.

The child didn't say anything he just smiled and shook his head

What are you doing, eat.

Frustrated, i push half of the bread right in his mouth and he can only look at me in shock.

Yes I know it was very rude, but I couldn't bear the thought of witnessing someone die right in front of me The situation I found myself in was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. It felt as though I had been transported to an unknown place, a place where people were suffering from extreme hunger and deprivation.

Their bodies were a painful testament to the lack of food and nourishment they received. I watched as some of them instinctively rubbed their stomachs. Their thin frames were alarming, their bones protruding through their fragile skin. It was clear that these children had endured unimaginable hardships.

But it wasn't just their physical appearance that troubled me; it was the heavy bruises These marks spoke of a life filled with abuse and cruelty.

What a sight, I breathe heavily, seeing this wasn't new for me.

The clothes they wore only added to the grim reality of their existence. Tattered and threadbare.

While me.. This place doesn't have a mirror but i can clearly see I'm no different from them.

I heard a gulping sound as the child gobbled the bread up, hunger can be traced on his face.

"Aye, thank you but you really don't have to. "

"Say that after you finish your food. "

A familiar voice rang out, echoing through the cold, damp cell that imprisoned us. My gaze darted towards the source of the sound, and upon recognizing the figure, my mood instantly shifted. There, leaning against the rusted bars of the cell, was a red-haired boy, his face etched with annoyance.
