Chapter 1: The First Encounter

It was a dark, but clear night in New York. Both vigilantes chose to go patrolling for any Purple Dragons out and about, causing any trouble. They were taking a break, so Mizuna chose to separate from Casey for a bit.
Mizuna came back after a few minutes, and overheard Casey fighting he and arguing with someone in a dark alleyway. She stood around the corner, peeping around occasionally since she was being sneaky. She payed close attention, since she could tell whoever he was in a squabble with, certainly wasn't human. "A mutant turtle? How?" She thought to herself. She watched the fight for a little while longer, until he brought his sais out. Mizuna's eyes went wide. "Damn! I'm gonna have to jump in now. Casey won't survive if he gets hit with one of those." She thought to herself. That also meant she'd have to to be extra careful to not let her anger consume her. Her and Casey both had a bit of a temper, but it seemed like the mysterious turtle had it worse.
The turtle threw his sais at Casey, but instead of seeing one of them hit Casey, he saw Mizuna holding both of his sais by the blade. He looked a bit shocked. "What the hell?! Who are you?!" He demanded.
Mizuna looked pissed but held herself back. She spun his sais in her hands as she had a bit of practice with them. "First off, turtle, nobody demands a damn thing out of me. Second, what's going on here? Why are you 2 fighting?"
The turtle stood down. "Your little friend over there fuckin pissed me off by provoking me!"
Mizuna looked at Casey. "This true, Casey?"
He turned his head to the side and stayed quiet to try and avoid the question.
That certainly wasn't smart, as he was greeted with one of the sais at his throat, while being yanked down. "Talk. Now." Mizuna said sternly.
Casey's eyes went wide. "Yes I did! Don't kill me!" He said in fear.
The turtle had smirked maliciously. Casey had pissed him off, so this was something he enjoyed seeing.
Mizuna let Casey go. "Watch your damn mouth from now on. You can easily get yourself killed."
Casey nodded. "Yes ma'am." He wouldn't admit it, but he was scared of her despite her being so much younger then him.
She then went to the turtle and addressed the turtle. "As for you, turtle, don't go around lookin for fights, especially with a weapon this dangerous. It's not fun havin to play babysitter." She hands him his sais back. "Besides, you have a dangerous temper. You seem strong, but there are far more dangerous beings out there then even the Purple Dragons. Be careful out there.
All he did was nod and took his weapon back from her.
Mizuna looked him up and down. "What's your name, turtle? Ya got one?"
"Raphael. And you?"
"Name's Mizuna." She turned her back to him. "Casey and I have to get goin. You should too."
Raph nodded. After that, he ran off back into the shadows. He hoped that they'd cross paths again one of these days. He found both her and Casey cool, but there was something that peaked his interest about Mizuna.
Casey looked at Mizuna. "Did ya really have to do that, Miz?!"
She nodded. "Don't lie to me anymore and I wouldn't do it."
Casey sighed. She was right and he knew it. "Where to now? Those thugs seem quiet tonight."
She nodded. "That's usually not a good sign, but I'm sure that they'll show their ugly mugs at some point before our patrol is over."
Both of them weee walking down a sidewalk while they were talking, but little did they know, they were being followed, and it was by several people, some good, some bad. It wasn't until they got to the park that they got ambushed by some Purple Dragons.
Mizuna looked around. "Fuck, I should've known!" She activated her golden eyes. "Let's make this quick, bastards!" She had her chain scythe out, ready for battle.
Casey had his hockey mask on and his hockey stick out. "You punks wanna ambush us now! Fine! Bring it! Goongala!"
They both charged into battle and Mizuna was spinning her chain scythe in front of her, slicing and dicing along the way.
Little did they know, Raph found out and came with his brothers as backup.
"Raph, are these the friends you said were in trouble?" Donnie asked.
Raph nodded. "Yeah it is! C'mon!"
Leo looked at Raph. "We'll be right behind you, bro."
Donnie pointed to the back of the Battle Shell. "I whipped up something for you in the back, Raph."
Raph walked over to it, smiling. "Don, you are the turtle!" He got on it, put the helmet on, and took off.
The other 3 took off on foot behind him as fast as they could.
Mizuna saw Raph coming in the corner and she got next to Casey. "We got backup, Case! Probably more then we would've liked!"
Casey smiled a bit under the mask. "Alright! We need 'em!"
Raph ride up close to them. "My brothers and I are gonna help you 2 with the mob! I saw them following the both of ya here!"
They both nodded while killing enemies.
Mizuna was separated from Raph and her chain scythe was around one of their necks, until that same enemy's head got decapitated. She was curious as to who, until she saw Mikey smiling at her. "Oh that was yours! Sorry!" He then continued helping.
Mizuna just let go of that body then went back to what she was doing.
The chai was soon over and all 5 of them regrouped.
Mizuna looked at the 4 of them. "Thanks guys." She deactivated her eyes and held her head. "Fuck, not again..." She said in pure annoyance.
Casey sighed. "Is it those powers of yours? Did you use them too much again?"
She gently nodded. "It's not as bad as the last time, but it's still pretty damn bad."
Donnie went to her. "You need to sit if you have a headache, miss."
Leo nodded. "Donnie's right. Come with us. We'll all talk in the Battle Shell."
Casey looks at her. "Are you able to walk? I know how bad those headaches of yours can get."
She just nods.
Leo, Donnie, and Mikey start walking.
Mizuna starts walking, but slowly, so Raph and Casey walked on each side of her in case she needed help, which she didn't as she was able to make it.
Once they were all in the Battle Shell, Donnie gave Mizuna an ice pack to cool off her headache. "Here. It'll hopefully help your headache."
Mizuna nodded and took it, putting it on her head. She gave off a sigh of relief. "Thanks Donnie."
He smiled. "My pleasure. So, are these headaches normal?"
She nods slightly. "If I use my powers for too long, yes."
Mikey looks at her. "Oh. You mean that gold power up thingy?"
She nodded slightly again.
Leo then spike. "How long have you had them?"
"And their origin?" Donnie then asked.
Mizuna grew annoyed. "For the love of fuck... One damn question at a time please." She didn't raise her voice, but it certainly wasn't calm either.
Mikey looked at Raph. "She's sounding like you, Raph!"
Raph glared at mikey. "Can it, mikey! Not now!"
Casey nodded. "Raphs right." He looks to Mizuna. "Calm down."
Leo nodded. "I know it's a lot to deal with at once, but your temper will only make things worse."
She took a deep breath in and out. "I've had these powers of mine for 5 years now. I got them when I was 10 years old, after my parents died by the Foot. I have no clue on the origin or anything, but I do know they increase all of my attributes."
Casey nods. "She's a lot more fierce then this usually."
She nods as well. "I just want to get stronger, but can't if I never have much time for me."
Mikey got up and went to Mizuna, patting her on the back. "It's ok."
Raph out his hand on Mizuna's shoulder. "Yeah cause ya have us now." He looked to his brothers. "Right guys?" He smiled.
The other 3 mod while smiling too.
Casey smiled as well. "And you know you'll have me too, Mizuna."
Mizuna gently smiled. "How the hell can I be your friend if I only know his name?" She pointed to Raph.
Donnie spoke. "Oh right. I'm Donnie." He points to Leo. "That's Leo." He then pointed to Mikey. "And that's Mikey."
"And we know someone who you can train under." Leo said.
Mizuna looked curious. "Who?"
Mikey looked at her. "It's our Dad, Master Splinter."
She smiled genuinely. "That would be awesome."
Seeing Mizuna cheered up like this made all 4 turtles smile along with Casey. Casey's usually just seen her either angry or sad most of the time, so it's like a breath of fresh air.
"Would I be able to come along?" Casey asked.
"I'm not too sure. Master Splinter is a bit too protective of us from what I remember." Donnie said.
Mizuna looks at cause. "Just wait it out a bit and I'll ask I'm." She then looked at Leo. "Is he mutated like you 4?"
The 4 of them nodded.
"Then case closed. You need to wait this one out, Case." Mizuna said.
He nodded.
"Since I'm going back and staying with the 4 of you, I need to go to my place and grab some things."
"Do you want us to go with you?" Leo asked.
Mizuna got up. "Up to you. I could care less. I only have one request."
"And that is?" Raph asked.
She put her hand on one of the handlebars of Raph's Shell Cycle, which was parked back in the Battle Shell and looked at him. "I wanna take this baby out for a spin."
Raph crossed his arms. "Hell no! I mean you're cool and all, but I just met ya."
Mizuna walked over to him. "Yeah no shit, but I can ride. Probably even better then you." She smirked a bit.
Raph glared at her. "Alright fine, hotshot. I'll let you prove it."
Leo sighed. "Raph, go with her if you're wanting her to prove it."
Raph growled a bit, then scoffed. "Fine." He went and sat down on the Shell Cycle and put his helmet on.
Donnie looked at Mizuna. "You need a helmet before you and Raph head off."
Mizuna sat down on the Shell Cycle. "Maybe so, but I'll be ok."
"A-are you sure?" Donnie asked.
Mizuna smirked a bit. "Just trust me, Don."
Casey smirked too. "You're in for a treat, Raph."
She looked to them. "The rest of you can follow. Well, if you can keep up."
Donnie smiled. "Oh? Is that a challenge?"
Mizuna still smirked. "Of course it is."
Raph then slightly smirked too. He didn't say anything though.
Donnie got in the drivers seat with Mikey in the front passenger seat and Leo in the back seat. Casey was there too as he was just along for the ride.
Mizuna got the Shell Cycle out and got beside the Battle Shell.
Mikey stood up, sticking his head through the roof. "Alright racers! Prepare your engines!"
Mizuna started and revved the engine up.
Donnie started up the Battle Shell.
Mikey did the countdown.
As soon as he said go, Mizuna did a wheelie and accelerated forward, giving her and Raph a head start.
Raph's eyes went wide in shock. "Now that's some driving! Give 'em hell, Mizuna!"
Mizuna smirked. "With pleasure!" She continued to speed ahead.
Donnie wasn't that far behind, but it still isn't enough. "We're not that far behind, but I'm going as fast as I can go."
Mikey looks at him. "Didn't you say this thing has a turbo?"
He nods. "Yes Mikey, but that would be cheating."
Just ignoring Donnie's words, he pressed the turbo button, which made them zoom ahead.
Mikey stuck his head through the roof again, sticking his tongue out at Raph and Mizuna.
Raph growled. "They used the damn turbo!"
Mizuna continued going. "Oh, this is gonna be fun." She revved it full throttle. Even then, that wasn't enough.
Raph looked mad. "You have any plans, toots? So far, it looks like they're gonna win."
Mizuna cleared her mind and activated her eyes once more, which made the Shell Cycle so much faster and they caught up.
They both flipped Donnie off in hopes Mikey would see it.
Donnie noticed in the cameras that were installed. "Mikey, it's for you."
Mikey came over and saw, then walked back to his seat, laughing.
Mizuna sped up past Donnie again. "My place is coming up."
Raph smiled. "Nice! We won!"
Mizuna slowed down and pulled into her driveway. She then stopped and got off, with her powers deactivating. "I told ya that I wouldn't wreck your bike, Raph."
He nodded.
They saw Donnie speed up, then stop after seeing them.
Mizuna smiled. "There's the losers."
Mikey got out, glaring at Mizuna. "The hell did you call us?"
She smirked a bit. "Losers, which is what you and the others are. Especially you, Mikey."
He sighed. "Alright fine."
Leo looked at Mizuna. "Are you ok? I know you had to overdo it again after Mikey's stunt."
She nods. "That's been the most fun I've had in a very long time so I don't care either way!" She walked ahead. "I'm the only one that lived here, so come in."
Raph looked around then looked a bit surprised seeing all the sports cars and motorcycles. "Holy shell! That's quite the collection."
Mizuna smiled. "Look around at them if you want, Raph. They were once my dads and now some are mine. I'll be inside with the rest of them." She looked at Casey. "Hey Case! Keep an eye on Raph. I'm sure he won't do anything, but you know how I feel about them."
They both nod.
Mizuna went to the door. The door had a retinal scanning as a way of security, and it unlocked after scanning Mizuna. "Come in, boys." She walked in.
Donnie looked impressed. "Your place has higher security then most places I've seen."
Mizuna nodded. "There's even an electric fence out there with your brother and Casey, but it senses me coming and senses if I have visitors, which is why none of you were harmed."
Donnie nodded. "You're quite the smart one."
Mizuna nodded. "I am pretty damn smart, but my mom was so much smarter. Like you from what I can tell."
Leo looked at her. "What did your parents do for a living?"
Mizuna looked ahead. "My mom worked in the FBI and my dad used to be a racer. The head racer as a matter of fact, but the FBI paid off the house for me to keep and helps me keep it up and running. The only favor they ask of me is to do vigilante work."
They both listened and looked interested.
Mizuna smiled. "You can see where my leadership skills, racing skills, competitiveness, and my smarts come from."
Mikey snuck upstairs to Mizuna's room and noticed her collection of video games. "Holy shell! This collection is huge!" He yelled.
Mizuna sighed. "He found my collection." She looked to Leo and Donnie. "You 2 can look around. Just don't touch anything."
They both nod.
Mizuna went upstairs and sounded a bit annoyed. "Ya know, Mikey, I should toss you through my window for coming in my room like that, but I won't since you're not harming my stuff."
Mikey looked at her. "Of course I wouldn't. I actually understand the importance of this stuff, unlike a certain brother of mine."
She looked at him. "It's Raph, isn't it?"
He nods.
She gently smiles. "That's normal for a sibling to act like that. Don't worry too much about it." She sat on her bed. "I know I haven't known any of you except Casey long, but I can tell all 4 of you are good souls."
Mikey nods with a cheerful smile. "Thanks Mizuna. You're cool too."
She nods. "Maybe another day, I'll bring you and your brothers back out here to have fun since it seems like the 4 of you have some interests with me, but I only wanted to grab some stuff. Leave my room." She said it nicely though, and Mikey obliged.
She got her stuff together and went back downstairs. "You 2 ready to leave?"
Donnie and Leo were both waiting for her along with Mikey. "Mizuna, can you do me a favor?" Donnie asked.
Mizuna looked at him. "Depends. What's up?"
He walked over to her. "Bring your favorite motorcycle. I want to upgrade it."
Mizuna nods. "Just don't make Raph jealous." She said jokingly.
Leo looked at her. "We all know that he probably will."
Mizuna just shrugged. "He'll be ok."
The 3 brothers looked at her in surprise and just laughed.
She looked a bit curious. "Why the laughter?"
"Because you're the first to say that about him and we just find it funny." Leo said.
She nodded. "It's getting late. I don't want Splinter thinking I harmed any of you."
Leo looked at the clock on the wall. "You're right. Let's go."
Mizuna walked out before the other 3. "Casey! Raph!"
Raph was looking at her favorite motorcycle, so Casey came over. "Raph's been enjoying the hell out of collection to pay a lot of attention to anything else."
Mizuna smiles. "Yeah no shit. He's checking out my favorite motorcycle, which is coming along with us." She walked over to Raph. "You havin fun over here?"
Raph looked at her. "Mizuna, you come from a family with some good taste!"
"I know. They both had good tastes. Which ones your favorite?"
He pointed at her favorite one and it's the one she's gonna take.
"That's mine too and the one I'm bringin along."
He smiled. "Fine by me."
She nods while rolling it to the Battle She'll. "Don wants to work on it, since he saw what I could make happen with yours."
He nodded. "Would ya be willing to let me take it out for a spin?"
Mizuna looked at him. "As long as I come with ya, then sure."
Raph nodded.
"Oh. That reminds me. Go tell Casey that he's responsible for watching the house." Mizuna said.
He walked off to tell Casey.
Mizuna got the motorcycle loaded up and it was next to Raph's.
Donnie got into the drivers seat. "Hey Mizuna. Come ride next to me. I want to teach you some stuff about the Battle Shell."
She got in next to him. "I'm always down to learn new things, especially with this badass of a vehicle."
Donnie smiled. "Oh. It's nothing." He said a bit shy.
Raph got in behind Mizuna and Leo got in behind Donnie, while Mikey was in the back.
During the ride, Donnie taught Mizuna everything about the Battle Shell, which she loved every minute of.
She also got to know them all a bit better too, but she's also hoping Splinter will like her too.
