Sebastien's POV

Looking at her twirl around in her baby pink tutu, I couldn't help but smile. She looked so at peace, despite being under the criticizing glares of the judges. Estelle is so talented, and everyone knows it. Tearing my eyes away from her, I cast a look around and see that everyone, from the young children to the always-grumpy old grannies, is staring at her, enraptured.

When her ballet performance ends, there's a loud roar of approval. She simply glows. I can't believe that I'm the lucky one to be her boyfriend. Her cheeks are rosy from exertion, and her eyes are bright as she searches the crowd for someone. They land on me and stop, a smile blooming over that gorgeous face. My heart beats like the wings of a hummingbird, and I return her smile, my heart warm.

My mother and I are at the park for a walk as part of the weekly "mother-son" bonding time she insists on, eating ice-cream.

"So, how's Estelle? She totally killed the competition last week." At her question and the mention of Elle, I feel a sudden flare of joy.

"Yes! She's amazing, isn't she? By the way, what-- " My words are cut off when I feel a sudden wave of giddiness.

The world spins like I am on a rollercoaster, and I fight to keep my eyes open as I stumble towards the nearest thing. The rough surface tells me it's a tree. Everything's blurry. I can't see, I can't feel, I can't--

The world goes dark, and the last thing I see in my mother's worried face above mine.
