Chapter 1

*Time skip 3 years*

[Potter Manor, Kitchen]

Lily was singing one of the war songs to herself. She did not know why but she felt that this song was very close to her. "Mum?" a little voice broke through her musings. Lily turned around to see a three-year-old Harry sitting on the table toying with his food. Lily said with a gentle but stern tone "Don't play with your food Harry. Now what were you saying?" Harry asked, "What was that song you were singing?". Lily said "You'll know when you've grown up." Harry pouted but his attention was soon diverted by James bursting in through the door with a big grin. He said jovially "How is my superhero?" as he lifted Harry up. harry giggled uncontrollably, "Great Dad!" he replied. James put Harry down and said, "I have got a little surprise for you and your brother. Go and call him. I'll be waiting outside." Harry ran up to Felix's room. A second later the noise of two little feet pattering down the stairs was heard.

[Potter Manor, Garden]

"What is it, Dad?" Felix asked bouncing on his feet in excitement. James said, "The surprise is now walking towards you." "SURPRISE!" yelled the voice of Sirius and Remus. "Padfoot! Moony!" Felix and Harry shouted. Sirius said with an authoritative voice. "We are here not to have fun but to help you ride brooms for the first time. If you cannot ride brooms you are not eligible to be James's son!" "Come on Sirius, drop that act. You're scaring them." "No, I'm not! Am I pups?" Harry and Felix looked at each other and burst out laughing. "You will never change will you Padfoot?" James said with a chuckle. James asked, "Where's Peter?" Remus said, "He said he has some work to do." The boys spent the rest of their day on their brooms.

[Malfoy Manor, Ball Room]

"Crucio"

"No! No my lord. I am sorry!" a rat like voice whimpered. "You are just a worthless little rat! You have failed again and again to kill those brats! Now I myself will have to get the work done. The rat voice whimpered, "Please my lord give me one more chance!" "No Wormtail you are worthless but my time is not. I myself will have to get the work done." "Malfoy" a white haired man slunk forward and bowed, "Yes, My lord." "You will keep the death eaters in order while I am gone. You I am certain will not fail me." "Yes my Lord."

[Potter Manor]

"Mum where's Dad?" asked Harry. "He has gone for an order meeting dear." Lily was nervous. James was never so late. She calmed herself James had said it was going to be a very crucial meeting. "Mum can we fly again tomorrow?" Felix asked with puppy eyes. Lily sighed and replied, "We'll see." Lily was about to tell them to go to bed when suddenly the alarm went off ringing.

"Harry ! Felix! run!"

Felix ran upstairs as quickly as his feet could carry him, but Harry looked ready to argue. "Harry, run now or you'll be grounded for the rest of the year." Hearing this Harry too disappeared upstairs to join his brother. Lily tried to calm herself down. She said to herself "I have to stay strong for the children. For James." She was about to join her sons with Lizzie when,

"BANG"

The door burst open

"Voldemort!" Lily gasped.

Voldemort smiled, "Must be brave to say my name out loud or just, incredibly foolish." "The fear of a name increases the fear for that person and I do not fear you." "Really? I must say you would have been a very valuable asset to the Dark Side but I am afraid you are after all a Mudblood. Stupefy." Blood gushed out of Lily as she flew back and hit the wall. Lizzie started crying. Voldemort glanced at her and said, "Let's see, you must be that bothersome Potter girl. Peter. Dispose of the girl." "Yes my Lord."

Voldemort started for the top floor leaving Peter Pettigrew alone with little Elizabeth Potter. Peter started to utter the killing curse when suddenly "The only reason you're not dead right now is because you were my friend all these years." Peter turned around slowly to see a wand pointed at him. "James! I was just..." "Shut it Pettigrew!" "You were my friend!" "Crash!" A noise came from above. James was distracted for a moment and in an instant Peter had disaparated with Elizabeth. 

"Lizzie!" James shouted in alarm as he fell on to his knees. In a just a few hours his perfect family had been ruined. All due to that traitor. "I will take revenge! I will get back my children!" he cried as tears slid down his eyes. "James" Lily whispered. She was holding Felix. Tears were running down her eyes too. "Lily" James said as he went to comfort her. "I will bring them back."
