Harper Antonya sits at her computer. she is more than ready to jump into her car and go home to husband and two kids. its 7:02 after she logs out of her computer, she heads down to the doors but as she is about to leave something on the monitor catches her eye. she is listed as patient. her exact name and birth are right there on the screen as someone who has just gotten admitted to the emergency room. sitting down on the chair, she opens up the chart and sees shes was admitted after a motor accident at 7:30. checking the room she was supposedly admitted too, she rushes there and sees a bloodied body on the bed, surrounded by medical staff doing CPR. the strange thing is, no one seems to notice her watching. she cant make out the bloodied face and rushes back to the monitor to check again. It's definitely her on that bed. she checks her watch and notices that it's 8:15. she shakes her head, knowing she couldn't have spent an hour trying to figure this out. still confused, she looks back at her watch which now says 7:02 again. looking back up at the monitor, her name is nowhere to be found. confused and shocked, she decides to wait a few minutes before leaving. on the drive home, she sees a car speeding past a red light crash into a van, causing the van to roll over multiple times before settling on its side. looking at the time, she notices its 7:30, the time the crash was supposed to occur. getting out of her car, she runs over to the van. the windows are shattered and the driver is a bloody mess. feeling the driver for a pulse, she finds nothing and looks in the back. There are two kids. the older one who seems about eight is clearly dead, and the other one in a booster seat who looks about four, she can hear a slight wheezing from. she quickly unbuckles the kid and pulls her out of the car. when she sees the child's face, her heart drops to her stomach.
"Mom..?" the child asks weakly and Harper sits down with the child in her arms. "I'm here baby, it's OK." she says, her voice cracking as she realises that the driver was her husband and the other kid was also hers. the child's breathing slowly gets weaker until it stops. tears start flooding down Harper's face as she cradles the child in her arms, her cries of pain covered by the sirens of emergency vehicles.
