As the rain came down, he didn't stop and thought the rain might be a problem simply because rain was one of the things that made him feel cool and calm, not one bit out of place.
And he felt calm with the rain coming down; Sebastian didn't think about how the rain would affect the terrain as he drove his motorcycle, his mind simply on escaping the valley, of getting away from home.
But then he skidded out, realizing only then the rain might be a problem.
