Early mornings changed to late nights pretty quickly these days. Your routine continued to overlap in hours and you couldn't tell a soul what the date was. You finally managed to get a day off and spent it with your best friend. Both of you are homebodies so it was easy to rest in his company.
You laid on the couch with Kai binge watching dramas and animes that both of you had fallen behind on. Your back was against his side while his arm draped over you landing on your stomach.
"Are you staying over?" You asked, looking at the time on your phone. He pulled his attention away from the screen and looked at you.
"Can I?" He questioned making you stifle a laugh.
"Of course! I was just asking to see if I could lock the door already or not." You stood up and locked the door stretching in the process before looking at Kai staring at you.
"(Y/N)..." His voice cracked as he called you over. You walked over to him worried, taking his face in your small hands.
"Are you okay?" You asked examining his face. He nods and continues to stare at you. His eyes flicker from your lips to your eyes a few times. His hands landing dangerously low on your back. The tension thickening with every second that passed.
"On second thought I don't think I will be staying. I should get going." He stood up but you stopped him confused since you couldn't read minds.
"Kai talk to me." You encouraged, with a slight nod of your head. He sighed looking at the door and back at you.
"I..." He pulled you into his body wrapping his arms around you resting his hands a little lower on your back. He let his left hand fall to the back of your thighs and pull you onto his lap. Both knees now on either side of his thighs.
"Kai" You whispered but he shook his head so you would get the hint not to talk right now. His eyes now glued to your lips as he slowly leaned in.
"(Y/N) I need to kiss you... But I won't because I don't want to ruin my chances by forcing you to kiss me. So please just..." You took his face in your hands again and pulled him down to you.
Your lips instantly molded perfectly with his. The warm feeling that hit your body and the way he took over the kiss when your body relaxed in his arms. He pressed your body closer to his as the kiss got deeper and faster. The desperate feeling taking over both of you to get as close as possible. Breathing through your nose and him mimicking the same action because breathing wasn't an option in that moment.
He pulled away slowly turning until your back hit the couch. His legs between you thighs hovering over you now kissing your neck. Both of you trying to take in as much air as possible before anything else happens.
"K-Kai" you half stutter half gasp. He pulls away from your neck and looks at you worried. He reached up gently moving the hair away from your face and lovingly pecking your lips.
"Should we watch another movie?" He asked with a small smile. You tried to read him but everything he did with you was very direct and never had alternative motives.
"Yeah" You said barely above a whisper. He helped you sit back up and pulled you into him so you were laying on him and your head rested on his chest.
"I feel the same way as you." You finally speak after some time of comfortable silence.
"Will you be mine then?" He kissed the top of your head.
"I already was yours... I was just waiting on you." Kai chuckles and rolls you between his body and the back of the couch.
"Good so now I can kiss you whenever I want." You looked up meeting him half way and melting into the kiss that you knew you were never going to get over anytime soon.
