The Untold Truth

who said I wouldn't love you because we are different?

Aurora joined legolas on the steps to the golden hall
, oblivious to the chill wind , they look out across the sleeping city

"What are you doing out here ? It's cold legolas" she said slowly walking up to him
"The stars are veiled, something stirs in the east" he says
"A sleepless malice"
Legolas looks at her realisation in his face
"The eye of the enemy is moving" he said

"we are safe here for now" she said patting his shoulder
"Let's hope" she added
"What are you doing here?" legolas asked
"Can't sleep so i went to get some fresh air" she said
"Well that is obvious but what happened that didn't make you sleep?" he asked looking at her
Eye to eye, this time she felt nervous around him like just the other time this night

"Aurora?" He said as he stroke his thumb on her cheek , she didn't realizes that she zoned out she flinched back and he quickly moved his hand
"sorry i must have float away somewhere" she said laughing it off
"Did i scare you?" he said worries in his eyes she could feel it
"Oh no no of course not" she said quickly
"i just have been thinking that's why i couldn't sleep" she said
And all she get is a hum from him.
After a couple minutes she spoke again

"Can i tell you something?"
"Yes of course" he said returnig his gaze at me
"so i just need to tell you that thing so i can sleep peacefully" she said
"So it was me who kept you awake" he said laughing a little
"No not like that" she laughed
"Sure say what you got" he said
She took a deep breath

"So about what happened earlier this night " she says her voice is trailing off
He looked at her smiling a little now
"Did you mean it" she finally asked the question she had on her mind
"Yes I did mean it" he answered truthfully

She chuckles feeling shy now
Tilting her head confused how fast he did answer the question
"Why that look?" he asks still smiling at her
"Nothing nothing" she says
As she look at him for a moment they stood in silence just looking at each other for a moment until she spoke again

"I have something important to tell you , I know it might not be the best time to say such thing" he nodded his head

"I- I" she stutter a little
Feeling nervous what if he didn't feel the same way now what if he didn't think of her in that way .
He looked at her waiting her to finish
"i love you" she said looking up to him
"I loved you for a long time , i was always so scared to tell you cause we are different from each other" she said suddenly falling silent

He was still standing looking at her thinking about what to say to her , of course he did feel the same way but how is he going to tell her ?

"Im sorry, you know what, just forget about it" she said as she was walking her way back to the castle

"wait" he said grabbing her arm "who said i wouldn't love you because we are different?" he said bringing her back to her past position
He's looking at her waiting for an answer

"no one" she answered
"but you did say that , is that what you think?"
"Is it because I'm an elf and you are human?" he said
She didn't give a him an answer

"I feel the same way if that's what worries you" he says quietly looking at her as she was facing the city
"Look at me" he says gently as he placed both of his hands on her shoulder turning her to face him she was looking down at the ground he placed his thumb on her chin lefting her head gently for her to look at him
She gave in and looked at him

"I have never loved anyone as I loved you" he says almost like he's confessing
He placed one of his hands on her cheek stroking it gently with his thumb

"I can't put into words , there are nothing can express how I feel about you" he adds his voice Is quite
She is lost of words she doesn't know what to say but legolas can see it in her eyes the way her eyes lit up when he spoke these words to her.
They stood in silence he still had something he had to say and Aurora can feel it as well she can feel he isn't finished yet.

"And you deserve to be loved without having to hide the parts of yourself that you think it's unloved" he said softly
She smiled at him
"I- I don't know what to say" she chuckles
He chuckled as well
"I love you I really do I feel the same way but-" she said but he interpred her
"no buts there is no buts about it"
"love isn't what you say it was what you feel and do" he added

As he moved his face closer to hers so close that she can feel his breath on her face

"May i?" he said his voice parley over a whisper she nodded her head and with that he closed the gap between them with a kiss , a soft gentle kiss she placed her hands around his neck pulling him closer his hand one on her hip , the other on her cheeks also pulling her closer, their lips moving in sync they broke the kiss for air still their hands in the same position she gently stroke his hair

"you had no idea how much i did want to touch your hair, it's so beautiful" She said softly her voice is quite breaking the silent

He smiled "and you had no idea how much i wanted to kiss you" he said and with that she kissed his lips again softly just a peck on the lips and he broke the kiss
Her face had a slight blush on it as she smiled to herself
He was smiling at her but his expression changed to confusion

"did i do something wrong?" She asked him
"no no it is not you,
There's someone approaching" he said looking away and he saw aragorn standing there approaching to them ,
they both broke from each other grasp

Aurora coughed a little and she can see legolas chuckling at her reaction , Aragorn approached them with a smile
"i knew it was going to happen" he said cheekyly
"What happen?" legolas asked
"You two" he said pointing at them , Legolas looks away from aragorn and Aurora keeps her gaze on the ground
"You two look amazing together by the way , no judgement" he said

they both looked at him he was smiling back at them
They shared a friendly laugh
Legolas looked at Aurora smiling at her as he saw her laugh it was rare when they have fun on this journey but Aurora was the one who always brought that joy to the journey and everyone knows it except her .
